Whats the difference between sculptris and zbrush btw?

about $700

voxels and pixols

plenty in terms of power. sculpting in sculptirs is neat and pretty dang good for free.

The difference between ZBrush and Sculptris is in dynamic tesselation, which is dynamic generation / subdivision of polygons to accomodate your shapes. So unlike in, for example ZBrush, when you deform a shape, it's polygons won't stretch because Sculptris is going to generate new ones to fit the shape without messing up the mesh resolution. You can do the same thing with Dynamesh, but Sculptris does it on the fly, so you don't have to worry about it.

I might have to give this auto retopology a try. : p

And if you havent worked with zbrush i really urge you to learn it Matth its amazing. : )

Sculptris sounds a bit like automatic dynamesh, but i guess there is some downside to it as well... If its free i might give it a try though.

For UV mapping you could take a look at UV Layout, makes organic uvmapping extremely easy and can do hard surface decent also.
