Vagrant0
Hello, I am currently working on a Total Conversion Mod and I hit a snag...The World Map for my mod (dds file) is saved in the TESCS, but it won't load up in thegame (it's blank when Player accesses world map; and when I pass through Tamriel or another small world-space, it uses the Default world map / Cyrodiil using my map markers and devoid of the map markers in Cyrodiil). Other than that, everything else works fine. The other issue is that Oblivion did load up a previous, black & white map, in the game while I was testing it. At least it appeared so. I used the coordinates for my mod which are smaller than the ones used by Cyrodiil, and smaller than SE World, so the map markers are spread all over the area near Skingrad, Chorrol, and Hammerfell districts. Perhaps I should use the same coordinates for Oblivion, using default worldmap? M7Unfortunately I don't have the answers for this one. I think it might be something with how the .dds file is saved, or how it is linked, but don't know beyond that. I tried asking this same question awhile ago over at silgrad (where some of the people had solved the issue (would link it, but there seems to be a downloader threat on those forums)) but havn't gotten any response. Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be much documentation on the issue, so you're pretty much stuck figuring it out or hoping someone can come along and answer it. As for how to size the map according to your worldspace, you'll need to figure out where the 4 corners of your map are located in relation to the cells, and the size of the image. This can be a bit tricky depending on how you created your map file. If you're just using the pieced together LOD textures, as a basis for your map, it's a bit easier since these are generated from -25,24 to 24,-25 since that is the central quad. If you wanted to seperate that into 50 rows and columns, you would have the edges for each of the cells. You could also use this to line up whatever image you have with the landscape on this image to get the 4 corners of your map.

ThePriest909
The file is ESP. And I enlarged the coordinates so that I can view the map markers using the default Oblivion map. This seems to work, though I would prefer using my own, hand-drawn / photographed custom map. M7 My suggestion... ( At least that works for me).Use Lightwave's tes4qlod utility wich can easilly generate a proper world-map ( just follow the instructions included).http://projectmanager.f2s.com/morrowind/index.phpYou can use that basic LandTexture-based map to create your own "hand-drawn / photographed custom map"... ( through photosop, gimp etc.)Just have in mind to use the proper DDS export settings if you 're going to edit it. The best of luck.
