TheUprightMan
Hey, fellow nerds. I've always had a penchant for world-space mods. With the new Creation Kit being billed as incredibly user-friendly, I've decided to throw my hat in the ring and start planning on a High-Rock themed "Island City" mod. The fictitious city would be located on an island somewhere in the Illiac Bay. There will be no "great evil", or dungeons, or dragons, instead I hope to offer something much more deeper, human, and close to the heart of what the Elder Scrolls series does best. THE GREY CITADEL.-Located on its own island, the Grey Citadel will be home to the city itself, and leagues of Breton woodland and farm country, with a couple of small villages doting the far reaches of the island. -The city will be hand-designed and segregated into several segments, which will hopefully rival Oblivion's Imperial City in scale and size. -The rift between socio-economic classes will be evident, the rich and affluent will live in the central city, flanked by beautiful gardens, masterly crafted sculptures of wealthy patrons, enormous mansions, while the slums are far reaching, marked by puddles mixed with mud and feces, barefoot sickly children.-The changes of the forth era will be represented. Merchant guilds dominate the city economy, while the city's educated intellectuals feud between one another vying for the future of High-Rock. -Thalmor agents and diplomats have a vested interest in the Grey Citadel as well, as the city has become one of the largest economic power-houses in the West. -A cultural revoliton is in the midsts, philosophers, poets, academics, chip away at the foundations of Breton tradition, marking the beginning of Tamriel's Age of Reason. -Several opportunities for Thieves and smugglers, as the Cyrodilic Thieve's Guild bumps heads with High-Rocks own domestic criminal syndicates. -"Infinite" quests through the radiant story telling vehicle. -Banking and investments through a scripted 'stock market' system, dependent on the conditions of the local city economy. -(Hopefully) Fully voice acted by yours truly. Or, as much as one person can do--And hopefully much, much, much more. I expect this will take some time, but hopefully in the end I will be able to provide a fresh, interesting, and ultimately timeless chapter in the Elder Scrolls tradition. WHAT I NEED.-A modeler to create some Breton chipsets. It will be for only one city and a few villages, so the amount of work will not need to be extravagant.-A talented scripter. -One or two talented voice actors. -That's it, really. I'll hopefully be able to handle all writing, set construction, and other things that can be done directly with the creation kit. If you're interested, send me a PM. Thanks!
