No more knock downs mod request

Hi all!

 

Can someone please tell me what settings and by how much I need to adjust them in the CS to stop my character being knocked down (those annoying city guards and their bows and arrows!). I have played through Oblivion many times and I now want my character to be almost invincible. That doesn't mean his health is god like but it would be nice to stop being knocked down with that greenish paralysis cloud wafting around him every time those city guards pelt me with arrows.

I know there is a mod out there that removes the bows and arrows from the guards but that just makes the game less diverse. A tweak to the settings would be more appropriate for me.

 

If it is easy to do in the CS then please could someone advise me what to do, if not is there an existing mod out there that does this already? If there is I couldn't find it.

That "greenish paralysis cloud" as you put it, actually is paralysis. It is a chance-effect caused by an arrow when someone has a high marksman skill. It can also be done with blunt weapons I believe. You can negate the effect by raising your agility, however there will always remain the chance that someone will get in a lucky shot.

 

I would not hold my breath on the modders paying much attention to this.

Actually, should be very easy, if you don't mind losing the perk yourself. The following settings are the ones you'll want to change:

IPerkMarksmanParalyzeChance

That's exactly the kind of thing I was after. I shall edit it and no I don't mind losing the perk myself as I rarely use my bow since playing a mainly melee character.
