Items are invisible in workshop menu +no icons

I have a situation where mods I am downloading are not showing up in Workshop menu, in game. I have just started using Mod Organizer 2.2.0. I have used MO with Skyrim before so I am A little familiar with its workings.

I have used “FO4ME ModENabler Tool” before starting to mod so my ini files should be in order, I have checked them. I installed “Settlement Menu Manager” for a couple mods that require it. I think this is where the problem started. I downloaded and installed “SMM” improperly according to the mod author. It should have been installed after leaving vault 111. I installed it before leaving the vault. There is a menu fix within SMM but I am having trouble getting it to work because I am missing the tape in game. My alternative solution was to un-install and delete SMM and the mod that is dependent on it and re-install it after leaving the vault. This worked for SMM and the new mod but after installing another non dependent mod, the new mod does not show up.

My question is, what can I do to resole this issue? Do I have to re-install Fallout 4? Do I re-install Mod Organizer?

I can confirm this. I installed "toy commandos" using NMM, everything looked good but ingame i had no icons for the installed stuff in workshop, just empty squares with a big green [M] (maybe m stands for missing, idk).

So I compared the content of the (unzipped) mod folders with the content of the fallout 4 data folders and a lot files were missed, NMM created the needed subfolders in the fallout 4 data but most of them were just empty.

So i copied the missed files into the fallout data folders, started the game and ...boom goes the dynamite, the mods shows up and works flawless.

The problem is the mod manager, i had this issue with a lot more mods here from nexus already (wall oil-lamp, security fences and some others). Reminds me... i gonna grab the oil lamp again, install via NMM and copy the missing files manually afterwards.

Edit: The wall oil lamp works perfectly now, as i expected.

I'm having the same problem, I'm using vortex so this is suppolsedly the program to use for mods to be installed correctly, I haven't used any other kind of mod organizer.

It's not all the items, and do have SMM and SKE which the menus are there, and some items the icon is invisible and the item is invisible...

So has anyone fixed this problem? Seems like it's not so much the mod organizer but perhaps something with the workshop or some simple fix that someone has used that fixes them?
