mountaindew444
Hey y'all, I'm having a lot of trouble trying to get Skyrim to work. I installed the game on steam, and after it was done, I clicked 'play' and then the Skyrim window showed up, then it detected my video hardware. Alright, after it finished, I clicked play and immedately another window poped up saying, "Skyrim has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is availble." Please, if anyone out there knows what the problem is, let me know. I'm very upset and I don't have a clue on what to do about this. Thank you. [Okay, All of a sudden Skyrim launched just now. I'm not going to trust that it will keep working though. micalov
You could try verifying your local game files, in steam library, right click the Skyrim icon and select properties, the local files, verify integrity of local game cache. This will scan for any missing files etc and require any if needed.
mountaindew444
Thanks micalov, I did scan the files and the files were 100% verified. But it didn't fix the problem. I'm still stumped, and I will not give up. :) Edited November 21, 2011 by mountaindew444
