gt5t
Have you ever had multiple unrelated mods that all have cool content and good synergy but feel you have to go out of your way to get that great experience you know you could have? Well I want to make a mod that takes the most fun aspects of already existing mods, and creators willing, combines them all into a seamless overhaul. Sometimes mods have extremely cool content you might never know about unless you just recently installed that mod and thoroughly read the mod's description, and then played the game with the intent of utilizing that mods specific content, which really hurts immersion among other aspects of gameplay. Really the primary focus is to remedy this, by as seamlessly as possible, introducing the best content from separate mods into the norm of Skyrim, in other words taking all the mods conent and condensing it by creating synergies within it, then putting it where an average player is sure to enjoy it without purposely seeking it. Taking interesting and fun aspects of mods that aren't implemented into the world naturally and giving them places in skill trees as perks, quest rewards, world items, ect... Example: SPERG perk overhaul + Heartbreaker mod + Imbued Weapons mod, with the Heartbreaker power and imbued weapon effects, which are normally oddly placed things you have to check the mod page for where to get or use the console, instead implemented into high level perks - Heartbreaker in pickpocketing as an unarmed skill and imbued weapons in enchanting. (example off the top of my head) Those are two random example of the countless game changingly fun effects from separate mods that can be spliced together for a more seamlessly playable experience. I'm sure you can think of countless examples yourself for the way you play, and ideally I would want this to be a community mod, sort of like the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, but instead of everyone contributing bug fixes they contribute unique non-conflicting mod splices that improve the game in some way. Another goal of the mod would be to fundementally change the way Skyrim is played, and would be made to be played with an XP mod like SXP. This way the player is free to kill enemies in a plethora of new interesting ways without worrying about the standard skill progression methods. It wouldn't focus on any aspect of combat/Ai, for example its not another Deadly Combat - Instead there would be focus on trying to increase the difficulty and reward of already existing areas by introducing strong unique enemies and powerful unique rewards all by combining and reimplementing content from existing mods. In all honesty a mod like this, if lead by someone knowledgeable (not me), would have endless potential. There are countless mods with countless custom effects, visuals, animations, spells, enemies, powers, and so on and no one is combining what already exists; they can all be reimplemented in countless ways - many, currently, are meant to be acquired by convoluted methods or extremely specific vendors and crafting requirements, or conflict with other better mods and are largely neglected, just waiting for a mod like this to happen. This is an extremely open ended mod concept. Anyways, how would I go about doing something like this? How would I go about getting help with it and permissions? Does this interest anyone? I think it sounds a lot harder than it is, even with my very limited understanding of modding I've spliced custom effects from mods onto items from other mods and such in the creation kit. What do you guys think? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
