AnInnocentChimp
I have done everything suggested, and yes my SkyrimPrefs.ini already had bEnableFileSelection=1 Anyone help?
MShoap13
Is" bEnebableFileSelection=1" under the [Launcher] section of SkyrimPrefs.ini and is it the only [Launcher] Section found in that .ini? From my experience the game ignores duplicate sections and lines put under the wrong section. Edited November 21, 2011 by MShoap13
Dejfisko
did you change SkyrimPrefs.ini in instal folder or in documents this file is in both folder and you probably need this change in both
MShoap13
You should only be changing the one in \My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\.
slimreborn
EDIT: I figured out the solution. Apparently I already had an [interface] section. For some reason mine didn't show up on a ctrl+f search. It's in the middle right under [blurShader] and [TerrainManager]. AnInnocentChimp
Is" bEnebableFileSelection=1" under the [Launcher] section of SkyrimPrefs.ini and is it the only [Launcher] Section found in that .ini? From my experience the game ignores duplicate sections and lines put under the wrong section. I looked and the bEnabledFileSelection option wasnt even there, so i added it under launcher and still, the datafiles option is greyed out on the launcher. NewmanLim
I know this might sound silly but try deleting the "bEnableFileSelection=1" and copy paste them again, I worked for me though.......also check carefully coz from the post above all the typing seem to have errors like "bEnebableFileSelection=1" or "bEnabledFileSelection=1". If all else fail, try re-install it as final option....
