theofilos
OK i got some data flowing guys! The 2 commands to alter jump and running values are: setgs fJumpHeightMin 76player.setnav speedmult 100 76 and 100 are the default values in the game I tested them a bit and it seems 300 for each value is what we could say close to the maximum wanted possible in the game for a character with NO armor that wants to jump on roofs or cliffs and doing hit and run techniques. Since maximum level is around 80. We need 2.5 points gain on running FOR EVERY LEVEL we gain and 2.8 points gain on jumping for every level also. Guys that are interested try on console the above commands with 300 value on both and use that without armor on a mountain or a city. Try to jump roofs walls cliffs everything. At least we can change the command everytime we level up and it's gonna be the same until a mod is out there! Tell me what do you think!
theofilos
Another great addition would be to tie acrobatics with unarmored skill for those who like this way of playing. I saw this mode in Oblivion and in fact we could just create a new skill unarmored where you skill up when you take damage without wearing any armor at all (except of course cloth). We can even add perks and make it work well. Of course the running and jumping part come with the unarmored skill. Thus we balance the game by giving the unarmored a real advantage in comparison to the armor types!
theofilos
If you prefer I could make a new request mod topic with the unarmored and possible perks we could add. I already did a research on what the maximum jump and speed should be so we can just divide the gains by 100 for the skill ups. We can make this totally feel like part of the game and reintroduce a lost style of play in Skyrim! What say you!
cooltrickle
I think acrobatics should be merged into athletics. This will give people the incentive to actually walk or run around the map instead of fast travelling or using a horse, as their athletic ability will increase. Rolling could be useful when avoiding incoming dragon fire or mage attacks, so for that reason I would like athletics back in the game.
cppcooper
For any engine variables to be able to change dynamically you need to be able to create a script that changes them under certain circumstances. I am sure it would be possible to do it without the kit, but it would be much easier to just wait for it to be released. So while you can certainly change the variables on your own, and even change them under certain circumstances only, you won't be able to have a mod do it until the kit is out. theofilos
Yes I can't do it right now, but I can do everything else that is needed. Putting out the ideas, trying out the numbers etc. So far I have decided for a new skill set tree: - Name should be athleticism or unarmored better - You will skill up when you take blows WITHOUT any armor on you. I do not want it to level with running and jumping cuz it will make everyone bunny hop! - Each skill up will grant you a fixed value in your running, jumping and unarmored values.Unarmored value could be evasiveness or armor rating. I believe evasiveness is more realistic for an unarmored person and can be explained better. The running value is 76 and the possible max lvl is around 80. In order to reach a value of 300 or 350 (it's gotta be somewhere near it in order to stay powerfull but somewhat logical for the game values) every skill lvl from 1 skill (76 value) to 100 skill (350 value) we need 2.74 running value increase when you reaise your skill by 1The same but for a value of 2.5 goes for the jumping since jumping as default starts from 100 - And now we have to discuss on the perks. Some ideas comming to my mind are: a super jump with cooldown that removes fall damage a dodge cooldown disarming the enemy with a cooldown increasing your encumbrance since you are a super athelete etc. all in a similar mindset that you are strengthening your body and are fighting with no armor on you in any slot. OK as you see I really want to see it in the game and if we can make it work good there will be hundred of players enjoying this much needed change. All I need is a modder who can do it before or after the kit (which will take long).Of course I will help him with anything I can do like testing values and getting the ideas! mtsalmela80
Its nice to have a console command to change the jump height. If I spend all my time unarmored and sneaking around, I should be able to jump higher than some tank in daedric.

It's better for unarmed and it can become as good for stealth and this means who wold want something else than heavy armor?
TheOrsini
Speed is a console command: player.setav speedmult <percentage> - Where <percentage> equals your movement speed percentage as an integer value. (100 = 100%). To enable the new movement speed, you have to activate sneaking, running or drawing/sheathing your weapon(s) once. (NOTE: Using this can cause instability and crashes if you run into a new area too quickly) However, that being said, no idea on the design of the engine at this point. You have to assume that somethings are similar in design as Oblivion and Morrowind. Now as to my opinion. If there gonna benefit you, they have to be independent skills or forget it. No reason to break the game by the higher your stealth, the higher you jump. Balance wise stealth is really well tuned. If you don't care about balance, then w/e.
