Skyrim - SKSE Couldn't Inject DLL

All of a sudden, my Skyrim doesn't like having a D3D9.DLL in it's load order. I have not changed my game for weeks and all of a sudden has stopped me from using an ENB. If I delete the D3D9.DLL, it loads, but once it is put back, it fails.

The D3D9.dll I use is from the optimus fix and has another one listed as D3D9orig.dll. This is the first time I have ever encountered this issue and baffles me that it has just gone wrong.

I have tried disabling my anti-virus and it then works, but this is inconvenient as I will have to keep doing it. I've added it to the exceptions list, but still doesn't start. I have SKSE set to run as admin and, you guessed it, it doesn't start.

System Specs:

OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit

CPU: Intel i5 4690K 4.24Ghz

GPU: GTX 960 4GB

RAM: 16GB 1600Mhz

If any more information is needed, I'm willing to provide it to get this weird issue sorted.

Thank you in advance.

What exactly are you adding to your AV exception list? Just d3d9.dll?

If so, you may want to try adding all of the SKSE binaries and libraries as well.

Skyrim is lauched using NMM with SKSE set.

The entire Skyrim folder is set as an exception, which still causes it not to star.
I know it's my AV because when I disable it, I am able to launch.

This seems to be an issue with an update AVG has released.

  • I don't use AVG but does it have a tool that allow to block/authorize files individually ?
  • Are you using some automatic sandbox that could be configured ?
  • Are you using default level security settings, especially for heuristic detection ?

The first time I used, long time ago my antivirus sandbox, it blocked winloggon or something, result...BSOD.

Making the files exceptions and the entire folder does nothing. I still get the same issue. The only way around it, at the moment, is to disable AVG for 10 minutes and let it turn back on by itself while I play. It might jusbe a case of waiting for AVG to update and maybe then the issue might be resolved.
