bill8872
I bet they got the idea from that mod.
damanding
Sorry to derail back to the original topic ;) ... Considering there are more than one mod to fix the spotlights, I'd say you're experiencing the vanilla game bug. I'd not heard of the power lines also disappearing, but the spotlight no longer working after fast traveling away is a known bug. This mod fixes it mostly: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/11090/? and this mod also fixes it, including all Automatron versions: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14587/?. I can't remember which one I'm using off the top of my head and I'm not at home to check, but the mod I have works great.
Comfortblynumb2
Back to the original topic, i'm still having the issue if anyone has any insight. I've yet again, wiped the game...
Comfortblynumb2
That spotlight fix, did fix the spotlights for me. I don't understand how Bethesda games keep such weird bugs for the lifespan of their game. i.e. in Skyrim i had a game breaker where the guy in the Ratway wouldn't open his door so i could speak to him, and to my knowledge, Bethesda never fixed that, it was fixed by an unofficial patch mod. Back to my Fallout 4 load order, i just re-wiped again, it seemed like it was working, i didn't see the power lines disappearing anymore, although without mods my spotlights stopped working again. Now, i'm completely bare assed, FO4 with DLC. However, i want to continue to install mods and play with mods, but i have COMPLETELY NO IDEA, which mod on my original load order could be causing issues with settlements. The only things i could think of is, the Unofficial Patch mod, or the weapon and armor crafting stations. But i really have completely no idea. Any discussion around this topic would help, i suppose i could start playing, confirm its working, then 1 by 1 start installing...but some mods, i.e. armors or weapons require so many others, like AWCR, etc. Anyways, let me get around to my problem. My problem is this, if the power lines disappear, my turrets still work, and my spotlight still pretends to work (at least toward my defense count), so that isn't the problem, for some reason, when the power lines disappear the only thing to completely stop working is my settlement recruitment beacon, which breaks it for me, as the player. I suppose if it doesn't work this time, i'll download that mod that lets me add settlers via the pip-boy.
