Knight90
So, I played Skyrim for about 40 hours, and got my female Altmer mage up to level 31. I've kept a lot of my perks in reserve, mostly waiting to unlock Dragon Smithing and better Enchanting. However, I have a problem. I don't like the way my character plays. Because I'm Destruction/Restoration/Alteration specialized, I focus of blasting enemies with dual-casted Lightning Bolts, using Wards against enemy mages, but the Armor spells feel completely useless. Not to mention the fact that I invested every attribute increase into Magicka. Sure, I can stun-lock most enemies to death with lightning bolts, and I can face casters with ease, but a single ice wolf kills me in two hits, and a bear can nearly kill me in one. Incoming spells will often lead to my instant death. So, I want to make a new character. I didn't complete a lot of quests as my old character (three daedric, the college of winterhold, and I got to the top of the Throat of the World and its massive amounts of win and awesome), so I figure it won't be difficult to restart and just patiently level up again. First things first, I don't want to use any Alteration or Destruction magic. That stuff got really old after a while, especially alteration. Second, I want Restoration, and the capacity to keep Wards up a decent amount of time, as well as heal myself easily enough. Third, I want to use Enchanting, because nothing beats having awesome Dragon armor with the best enchantments money can buy. So far, my build is something like this:Female Altmer (magicka boost and accelerated recovery is way to good to pass up)Heavily invest Perks into Restoration, Enchanting, and either Conjuration or IllusionLightly invest Perks into One Handed, Smithing (for arcane and maybe Dragon armor and weapons), and Light Armor. Skills like Lockpicking, Charm, Pickpocket, and Alchemy can be fortified by equipment, as can their potency, so Enchanting can serve in their place. So, how does it look?
