It still doesn't make much sense, as that would make Delphine a Dragonborn, making the player what? What role would we play if there is another dragonborn? We wouldn't have one because we wouldn't exist, and I think if Martin did have a child with one of the female Blades, the other Blades would know about it, and none of what has happened would have come to pass.

What if the thalmor and alduin and paarthanaux were seeking her to end there family line and made a deal with sheograth to curse the last septim heir to be blind to dragon speak and never would seek greybeards help but upon arrival of the player they suspect its ulfric not the player so it could kinda tie intoo how she beat you to the horn of jurgen windcaller in order to find you first beacuse of the rumors of ulfric shouting the high king to death they focused there inerests elswhere for the time being woud also explain delphines hatred for paarthanaux more i think ?? also could even script a convo beetween the player and delphine explaining the ordeal

As far as I'm concerned, the Lost Septim Heir is not happening. It's out of the scope of this project and lore-unfriendly.

About Delphine's hatred towards Paarthurnax, it is simply because of his "Atrocities thousands of years ago, although still remembers", see conversations in spoiler.

It's very unlikely to happen, if it was a new bloodline, sure it could be possible, just not in this mod. Put the request for this in it's own topic and see if anyone agrees with you, if it is ever made, maybe there could be a tie in, but I doubt it. It's just not a possibility, the only way and this is a very far-fetched idea it would be possible would be if someone used an Elder Scroll to re-write history, which would undoubtedly cause another Dragon Break, breaking the continuity of time, likely causing the very evils we sought to banish from the world to be reborn. But still this is a mod revolving solely around the Blades and the dealings with dragons and the world as a whole. No "Let's make a new Empire" here. That's for another time and another mod.

Now to get us back on track, what does everyone think about my idea of turning the Karthspire camp into a player home/fort/something? A front for the Blades and a defensive line against attacks by the Thalmor.

To reiterate it:

We go to the Jarl of Markath (or what ever hold the Karthspire area is part of), if we are the Thane of Markarth (or whatever hold the Karthspire area is part of), we can buy the land surrounding the Karthspire for say 150k gold. After we buy this land we hire people to build us either a fort (might be a nice addition) or a mansion. It will require a large amount of gold to finish this building, but when it is done it could act as a first line of defense for anyone wanting to enter the cave where Sky Haven Temple is, we could even use this building as an excuse to put a gate in front of the cave saying something like "I've converted this cave into a storage room" or vault or something that would require a gate to be put up which would give the temple another line of defense. No towns, no villages, just a simple home for a Thane outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. I think it could work, we'd have a front for receiving new recruits. We could build a tunnel system connecting the temple and this house so no one realizes people are coming and going from this supposed vault/storage room/whatever.

This fort/house/thing could also be a good front for a shop, we invite a merchant to live in the place and sell their wares to anyone who passes by, the gold from the sales would go to the Blades. We'd have to supply the shop with items from time to time, but it might work.

I think that making an player home outside the Temple would be great... The temple itself is going to have to many people to be a home.

I personally think that things would work better if the Temple become the Blades HQ

And it should have relics, and a library, as a blacksmith.... and a lot of people

And Karthspire become a peaceful player home (with a little trade outpost, maybe?)

Actually.... I think the more correct world is state, since it is going to have walls and defences XD

And this trade idea.. it would also be nice, if not only providing the itens, you also make deals (quests) with other communities to have better profit.

There is the Khajiti caravans, the Orc Strongholds with their Blacksmiths, and maybe an trade connection with Hammerfell, since it is so close to Markath...

With time you could even convince a few of them to become blades... or contract them as mercenary against the Thalmor.

What I like about the Karthspire camp is that not only is it on an island, it also has several things that could be useful to anyone wanting to build something there, a forge, alchemy table, enchanter, it's got a river flowing through it with a few small, but deep pools before it continues on it's path. It's got everything a stronghold would need, everything except a mine or some kind of business for income. I'm thinking of something along the lines of the Great Houses of Morrowind, where when you advanced enough, they allowed you to build a home in a specified location. You'd supply the gold, they'd handle everything else. From the building to the hiring of workers and guards, etc. That's what I'm thinking could happen here. We'd buy the land as our right as Thane of which ever hold owns the land, we then develop it into our own personal stronghold.

Requirements:

Thane of Hold

Friend of Jarl

Enough money to buy land (150,000 Gold seems about right for the size of the Karthspire area)

Things We can build:

Walls

House

Houses for Guards and Workers

Farmland

A Shop

A vault

A storage room (To hide the entrance to Sky Haven Temple)

An underground tunnel to secretly enter the Temple, opened only by a Blood Seal, so only a Dragonborn may open the tunnel entrance to prevent anyone who may discover it from entering the temple unnoticed.

People We need to Hire:

Workers for the various services as well as the building itself

Guards to protect the workers (These will be disguised Blades, the recruits from the Temple. They won't be allowed to use the Blade armor or Akaviri weapons while in plain sight)

Merchants to move in to build revenue

A few villagers just to give the area some life, only a few like 5 people, maybe a few kids, but not a lot, we're not building a settlement, just a stronghold.

If it comes down to it, I could just make this standalone, but I can't build interiors. I'm really bad at that. So I'd need someone to do the interiors, the exterior would be easy. I can do simple scripting, but this is more of a team project then something I can do alone, and if I did it alone it'd take me longer then I'd like.

I like this idea, though it may be good to build up the new Karthspire as more of a village or trading outpost than a player home/mansion. After all, we'll have the new quarters within the Temple. There was a comment a while back about re-routing the Khajiit caravans to visit the Karthspire as one of their regular stops, if that can be done I think it would add a lot to the realism.

Also, an important note about potentially killing and resurrecting Paarturnax - the Blades would have to do it without the Dragonborn. The only way Alduin was able to bring back all of the minor dragons is because they were not killed by a Dragonborn, and as such still had their souls intact. If the Dragonborn were to kill Paarturnax his soul would be absorbed, and we could not use the "resurrection" shout on the bones. The mission of justice would need to fall to the mundane Blades if there was to be any hope of bringing Paarturnax back.

Another note, I'll start working on some potential designs for the "grandmaster" armor or whatever we'll call it. I know it's not a huge part of the storyline, but it's something I love to do. ;) I'll post the textures here as they're finished to test them out in-game (like a private beta), but until the CK is out they'll need to be used as temporary replacements for the Blades armor.

Well, there are a few ways to handle it if we go that route, they are all somewhere in this topic, one of them being we learn some way, some technique ancient Dragonborn used to release the souls of captured dragons back into their bodies after death, and if their body was destroyed (Bones removed, skull missing, etc) the soul would form into a spectral dragon. So in bringing him back to life, we may simply bring back his ghost, which would still work. There could also be another technique that's more dangrous, but could also bring back the body as well, but it comes with the cost of some of the casters own life force, (permanent damage to health), but it would bring back the pieces of the dragons body, no matter where they might be.
