twod127
I recently got a new GPU so I decided to use some updated textures on Fallout 4. I've tried every fix with .ini files. I've tried both manually installing the textures and using NMM. A textures folder is creating in my Data folder in Fallout 4. I have my documents, program files, and program files(x86) on my SSD and my steam library on my HDD. It doesn't seem to be a problem considering other mods have been working. For example, UI mods and other mods like PipBoy flashlight. Not entirely sure what to do anymore because I've edited all the notepad files, re-installed, validated, and tried different texture mods. Any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated.
ZheeJames
It is very recommended to use any mod manager. Nexus MM is one of my top programs for modding. Also, use LOOT for your game AFTER installing all mods desired but BEFORE running the game. If there are errors, it will tell you - trust me, it will save you lots of time and error troubleshoot to auto install with a program than do it yourself. As we are human, we make mistakes sometimes. Good luck. -SS

k1tta
Can you give a little bit more detailed explaination other than textures not loading? I had a similiar (i think) problem, where the textures and geometry of a new outdoor cell wouldn't load until ~15-20 seconds of waiting with a frozen screen but I fixed it by installing the game on a brand new SSD and deleting memory heavy mods
damanding
I'm still running on a pretty old video card so I installed enboost just for the performance improvement alone because it does some sort of magic I don't really know much about with how the machine manages graphics memory that is an issue regardless of how nice your graphics card is. That might help.
AGreatWeight
Imho it would have made more sense to install your Steam/games on the ssd, and the o.s. on the hdd.Could you give us a little more information, like the name of the texture mod/s you installed? How you installed them, manually or via NMM or some other program. Does your new gpu work fine with other games? What other mods you have installed as well. More info we know, the easier it is for someone to hopefully pinpoint the cause, and help you solve this.
