dragonslayer2k12
Thanks to far harbor and dialogue options with dima I now have to do all kinds of crap BEFORE I go there. If I want to ask dima if I can tell the railroad about them I have to encounter the railroad BEFORE I go back to see nick and start the quest after saving nick. If I don't meet the railroad before that I can only tell dima that I am with the brotherhood. I can't stand dima actually but I don't want to wipe out the factions. By the time I can get close to finding the railroad I am at level 79 and turned into superman already. The whole joining the bro hood and getting the cool T-60 armor blah blah narrative is totally lost and it just feels like more stuff to do now. I really hate the dam settlements they waste so much time in this game, the narrative is totally lost after saving nick and realizing you have to do all this minutemen crap and recruit followers to gain their perks. By the time I get hancock's perk and be ready to join the railroad I will be totally bored of this game and not even made it to far harbor yet. Also dammit the marine armor feet (not the legs but the feet) are still missing nobody has fixed this yet:-( Edited July 26, 2016 by dragonslayer2k12

RS13
Start a topic about one thing and ramble on about 8 different things: check. Call a critic a shill: check. Internet level: OVER 9000!!!!
zanity
What 'critic'? A pointless, sarcastic response does NOT constitute 'criticism' in any grown up way- and anyone making such a post sure sounds like a Beth shill! The OP makes perfectly valid RPG complaints, even in the context of Fallout 4. The FH DLC demands a certain pre-experience from the vanilla game, yet such pre-experience will imply too high a levelled character for many gamers. I enjoyed FH by once again mostly ignoring the terrible role-playing mechanism of the game, and accepting the simple-minded role of the 'good guy' godlike hero. The DLC was a do-over of the vanilla game, being the SAME thing, just done a little better the second time around. However, some players will try full-on roleplaying (which is the game genre after all) and once again find themselves frustrated by Beth's atrocious methods. JaYmZeE311074
You SAVE NICK? YOU GET PERKS FROM FOLLOWERS? U're SUPPOSED TO DO s*** WITH SETTLEMENTS? YOU CAN JOIN THE RAILROAD? WHAT THE HELL IS T-60 POWER ARMOR - I THOUGHT IT STOPPED AT T-51C or was it B? YOU TURN INTO SUPERMAN AT LEVEL 79? "They call me Superman - leap tall hoes in a single bound!" Seriously, I wouldn't worry - the community are gonna fix as much as possible - also if you can get your hands on some ADHD meds, the settlements are awesome! :geek: DISCLAIMER - Just because this post is made by JaYmZeE it does not neccessarily mean that JaYmZeE shares these views. dragonslayer2k12
Only beth fanboys and shills support beth for whatever reason they have to do so. This is not whining it is really simple this is complaining and looking for some alternative to handle this shitty story beth wrote. The only way I can see to fix the narrative is to get a mod that just handles settlements completely. There are some exceptions to be made like covenant but what should happen is the player helps the original settlers at some settlements that have them then when their help quest is complete a pop up appears showing what the player has to bring to the settlement to get it going. Same pop up for just finding a settlement and accessing the work bench. After the player dumps enough stuff into the workshop and goes away for 24 hours they can come back to find a fully built working settlement already handled and some new settlers already living there. What the player does after that is up to them, tear something down and build something else no problem. Change settler clothes or guns no problem but there needs to be something like this to just fix this crap so as toad howard says it just works. The level requirement for automatron is too low it should be something that happens just after silver shroud quest is done so level 45 after kent gives the final costume upgrades. Having ada wander around red rocket boohoo butthurtz about her DOA friends sucks to listen to for all that time it takes to finally get done with SS quest and be ready to do automatron. We don't even have a really stable working CK like we have in skyrim lol that thing ain't too good either. It will be at minimum next year before we get a stable enough game and CK AND FO4EDIT aaaannd unofficial patch then someone can work on fixing the dam settlements (probably gonna be me) so people who don't want to ask the same question to every settler in the game a thousand times can just play the dam game. Currently a major fix to settlements is the settlement restoration complete mod but it is bugged a bit because the author actually deleted things in the CK instead of just disabling them. Run that mod through FO4EDIT and a whole lot of errors come up. I am getting invisible crops at every settlement and if I try to assign a settler to those bugged crops I get a CTD or if I try to pick one up. I don't think anyone wants to build the same walls and defenses with everything else over and over again how many times? Even if you do it differently each time it is a fools errand to waste time because beth can't write for s#*!. They actually could have held a contest with some school kids to write a better story and done better. Maybe by next year someone can restore some of the cut content somehow and things can be different. It would be so much better if BoS were not written to be a real life political jab at the republican party in the states. Maxon doesn't need to be a giant jerk and the player actions could change the BoS outlook on things who knows it may be possible for a modder to do that at some point. You should be able to save some sort of preset - like you say provide the supplies and then load said preset and let the settlers do something productive - it is without question the most infuriating aspect to starting a new game. Whilst their maybe no absolute need in game to work with the settlements - it's such an obvious flaw. The first few times I didn't mind building them again because they improved in design everytime - now I'm building exactly the same things in exactly the same places and it is monotonous - even working quickly, it still takes me a fair amount of time to set em up in reasonable order and whilst I'm not obsessive compulsive - I don't like shoddy workmanship. Someone will fix it at somepoint hopefully.

Nope, it's yet another pointless rambling passive-aggressive rant with no coherence and a total absence of any kind of productive solution being offered. And when somebody disagreed with you, you pulled an ad hominem. You're not happy with the game? Then grow up, quit whining, Maybe by next year someone can ... Someone will fix it at somepoint hopefully. and make your own Fallout 4 mods instead of expect others to do all the work for you. Sheesh.
