JaYmZeE311074
Thanks to far harbor and dialogue options with dima I now have to do all kinds of crap BEFORE I go there. If I want to ask dima if I can tell the railroad about them I have to encounter the railroad BEFORE I go back to see nick and start the quest after saving nick. If I don't meet the railroad before that I can only tell dima that I am with the brotherhood. I can't stand dima actually but I don't want to wipe out the factions. By the time I can get close to finding the railroad I am at level 79 and turned into superman already. The whole joining the bro hood and getting the cool T-60 armor blah blah narrative is totally lost and it just feels like more stuff to do now. I really hate the dam settlements they waste so much time in this game, the narrative is totally lost after saving nick and realizing you have to do all this minutemen crap and recruit followers to gain their perks. By the time I get hancock's perk and be ready to join the railroad I will be totally bored of this game and not even made it to far harbor yet. Also dammit the marine armor feet (not the legs but the feet) are still missing nobody has fixed this yet:-( Only beth fanboys and shills support beth for whatever reason they have to do so. This is not whining it is really simple this is complaining and looking for some alternative to handle this shitty story beth wrote. The only way I can see to fix the narrative is to get a mod that just handles settlements completely. Nope, it's yet another pointless rambling passive-aggressive rant with no coherence and a total absence of any kind of productive solution being offered. And when somebody disagreed with you, you pulled an ad hominem. You're not happy with the game? Then grow up, quit whining, Maybe by next year someone can ... Someone will fix it at somepoint hopefully. and make your own Fallout 4 mods instead of expect others to do all the work for you. Sheesh. I do make my own Mods that fix what I can't find an answer to on the Nexus - if it's within my capabilities - I'm happy to use them myself or pass them on to friends - I simply do not consider my standard of modding to be high enough for public release. They may be funtional but they ain't pretty.

It was frustrating to me too, to find that out. But then as a friend shared a thought with me: "Isn't that they way it is with real life? You are not always given a script when dealing with life. Jj, as you are fond of saying, "Life Happens." and usually he re-stated: Without a script." Click if you have done "Lost Patrol" with Danse. If you have not, you might not want to click the SPOILER. I found a whole dialog with Palladin Brandis, when you take Danse with you. There is a whole new 'twist' to the Brandis Storyline: LOST PATROL, that I did not know, until I was in this play through and thought - Take Danse with me!. That is why I find it fun to go through the game a 'few' times, to see what "twists" and "turns" one might open when they "mix" things up. It is interesting to me, that a lot of people - NO NOT ALL - find this FO release to NOT be as good as the other ones. I have to agree, for the most point. I wish Beth would have put the same thought into the base game as they did with Far Harbor. At least there, pretty much all the NPC have great storylines. I cannot say the same for the base game, with the exceptions of Nick V. at the top. We learn a lot about him and his past and his story. MacCready is next, as we see a character from FO-3, all grown up. He got married, had a kid and we ... get to help 'save the day'. Kellogg is next on it, in that we get a good background story as to how he "got where he is". Deacon is a good character, but ... and I already told my frustration with his character. Though he is still one I enjoy hanging around with! I just wished they did more with him, as there was A LOT that could have been done! But Far Harbor, just about all the NPC's have a good base story - Quest and such to go with them! I really hate the dam settlements they waste so much time in this game, I am just glad I bought the Season Pass at a great discount, or I would be feeling like I got "burned" just a little. The Settlements are annoying as hell. I cheat on this and I admit it. I find it annoying that they cannot well ... do anything .. but hammer a side of a house and dig in dirt w/their hands. That's it. So I'm fond of saying, FO-4 is SIMS meets Fallout. As Workshop DLC - Vault-Tec DLC and Nuk-a-World are all SIMS - Settlement mods. In the end, I basically am helping some mod creators test mods and so I play through w/the idea ... I'm helping. The narrative is forced in no small way - The Institute and Synth Shaun, read my post there. So I realize that IF Beth's best ideas are SIMS - Settlements for Fallout ... this is likely the last FALLOUT - unless they get some new story writers on staff. HEY BETH - I would be glad to help! There was so much you COULD HAVE - SHOULD HAVE done with Deacon! Ya, I know - Beth does not read these posts....
