Idea for a mod

I dont know how many of you are familiar with Terry Goodkinds "Sword of Truth" series of books but I was thinking about making a mod that was based roughly around some of the things from the book. The main idea is to create a spell that would be a copy of the confessors power from the book. For those of you who dont know, it is a power that basically makes the person completely devoted to the caster. I have made a version of this spell that gets used once a day (just like the book) however i was thinking of improving it by trying to make it also add the target to a faction that likes the player as well as simply having them follow you around protecting you. The book also mentions that a male confessor if ever born must be killed because they dont need to rest to regain their power which makes them very dangerous because he can continually use this power to take peoples lives and make armies of followers. So, the idea is that im thinking about making a small island or something that you can travel to by boat from anvil where there are a couple small cities or towns full of villagers that keep respawning and having a male confessor some where who will keep casting his power on the villagers so he has a large group of followers and the basic idea is to go and find him and kill him. Now it will be a little more interesting such as having assassins trying to track you down and not knowing who the confessor is, only that people keep dissapearing and such. Now i dont know what you guys think but any suggestions would be great and if anyone is interested in offering some help that would also be great. I have some parts of a dark underground city made that i was considering using however my landscapping and quest making skills are not so good so if anyone thinks this mod could be fun and wants to help that would be great.

I love the Sword of Truth series, it's brilliant! however, while I'd love a mod based on it, I doubt it'll ever get any farther than the confessor's power spell you've made so far (though it is very easy to add the target to a faction that likes the player, I can't quite remember the function though, so you'll have to wait for someone who does to explain it). The other idea just wouldn't work, for a number of different reasons, and, even if it did, it would be difficult, and would take a long time to make.

Well I think i recall how to add a player to a faction using a spell and if not im sure ill be able to figure out the proper scripting for it with a little testing and i agree that chances are the mod may not work as well as would be liked but i think it could still function enough to be fun. I plan on making this spell and giving it to an npc and putting that npc in the imperial city or some such town in order to properly test it before i go to the effor of making cities and what not but i think it could work to an extent. The npc would simply be scheduled to travel to one of a few possible markers at some point in the day and the markers would be placed in heavily populated areas of the cities i would make. I think i will have a marker that spawns npcs with the generalized name villager, this way if they die they will simply respawn like animals in the wild and the town will always remain populated. Then when the npc with this confessors power travels to this marker he will cast his spell a few times and then cast a spell that transports himself to safety. Mind you these are basic ideas and from experience things never go exactly as planned so i will need to test all sorts of things however i think it could still be some fun. I was also considering making quads, a group of four assassins to hunt down the player, i had done something similar before and it worked quite well.
