Request: Disenchanting made more useful

Hi modders i just got an idea, i'm not a modder myself so i'm just making a suggestion here for u professionals that might improve the game! :D

 

Disenchanting currently becomes a useless thing after u've found known recipes, i dont like this. How about making it so Disenchanting items with already known recipes either:

 

1. Strips the enchantment from the item

or

2. Create soul gems based on the power of the enchantment'?

 

Being able to strip enchantments would be very useful in re-enchanting etc. and for those moments where u just cant find an un-enchanted item that u want. Can add a requirement penalty so ppl cant repeatedly re-enchant stuff tho, maybe making it cost a soul gem (any) or a garnet/ruby etc or sumthing like that.

 

Example on soul gem creation from disenchanting items:

Destruction enchantments from 1-5 dmg = Lesser Soul Gem, 6-10 dmg = Common Soul Gem, 10+ dmg = Greater Soul Gem

 

Not so sure how to measure illusion/alteration/restoration/health/magicka/stam enchantments tho, but u get my drift. Can maybe also add a requirement for doing this, making it cost a reagent of some sort.

 

So are these good ideas? I think both ideas make a lot of sense lore-wise and arent overpowered or anything. Afterall, Soul Gems are sumtimes pretty hard to come by and this alternative method might reduce the need to 'grind' them or make them even more useful than they already are.
