The Unofficial patch is not required period, I don't use it ,have never required the use of it and its' not required.

" It's a mod" ___________it's not a patch.______ You probably don't get this. You need to.

Save: http://www.mediafire.com/download/xphr33k8rpmqgyr/Save+1+-+Dudley%2C+Vault+101%2C+00.38.56.zip
as I noted before Auto Save is not off during this playthrough, however, this save was not made on top of an loaded autosave. (I did NOT load an autosave and then save) I assume is need to know information becuse I have read that fo3 autosaves will eventually corrupt

First
Super Hermit Cave (the name I set for the computer) is a new computer I JUST built and installed windows 10 pro on, and is less than a month old (about three weeks)

Whenever I say Supper Hermit Cave I mean the PC that I currently use actively, why, becuse I have mentioned (not by name) other computers

Second: this list:

Non-exhaustive list of fixes that have been tried through all of those machines Bold items are ones that I have done on super hermit cave.

 1. FALLOUT.ini fix for quad+ core cpus

 2. Installing the unofficial fallout patch + FOSE

 3. 4gb patch on fallout exe

 4. installed k-lite audio codec mega pack

 5. doing this (looking for evil codecs): http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/897990-codec-investigation-project/page-7?do=findComment&comment=15382057 (disbaleing all codecs failed to solve crash)

 6. activating/ updating .net framework though Turn Windows features on or off

 7. turning off antialiasing and anisotropic filtering

Only entries 1,4 & 5 were conducted on Super Hermit Cave,

entry 1 is this:

4)This step solves most random and post-intro movie new game crashes!
Especially crashes when hearing the baby cry.

Edit with notepad:
My Documents\my games\Fallout3\FALLOUT.INI
or C:\users\yourname\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\FALLOUT.ini
This may appear as "FALLOUT" in windows explorer.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT EDIT Fallout_default.ini !!! You're in the wrong directory!!!
find (control F) bUseThreadedAI=0
CHANGE to bUseThreadedAI=1
Immediately after this line, ADD this new line:
iNumHWThreads=2

why include stuff from other computers?
As stated the same (or what appears to be) problem has plagued me through several machines and operating systems and so the make sure all information was present I include the fixes i have tried on OTHER machines with my current one.

Third: answering your questions

"Are you running FOSE ?.." you should not be. Not on a fresh start.

No

IF you have 7z archiving tools installed?

Yes I have 7zip

It should because you used
(4gb patch on fallout exe) on it.

Not on this install

rename it so it reads (1Fallout3.exe) right click it and use 7z to extract it to a folder of it's own from the menu extras as "

1fallout3.exe" Note what 7z does and say's about that. Does it show you the file is "Broken? "

I'm not entirely sure what you meant by all of that, so I copied fallout3.exe to my desktop renamed it and extracted to get a folder with a file named:
SPAFILE~

Is this what you wanted? I'm doubtful. Could you be more clear on what toolbar tool you want me to use in the 7zip program?

Last, where is that game installed @ ?

D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 3 goty
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally.

At this point I believe that the way I have presented information was confusing -- so before we go forward ask me ANYTHING you aren't clear about on my setup, system, instal, ect. so I can make it not confusing if I have.

Also,

The Unofficial patch is not required period, I don't use it ,have never required the use of it and its' not required.

" It's a mod" ___________it's not a patch.______ You probably don't get this. You need to.

 1. I know it is a mod not a patch i'm not the stereotypical "halp me!" guy
 2. I never said/believed it was required, I just used it as a potential fix (as some help threads say try it, I thought, why not)
 3. I have not used it on Supper Hermit Cave (as stated when I noted no mods in OP)

Correct: if you don't understand I will arrange a screen shot showing what I'm talking about.

Ever download a file and find you can't extract it, find it is broken? that is what you find when to break the executable / Enhance it.

-------------

Am I to believe this has been occurring on several machines, all in the same spot?

yes correct

I also rearranged my load order using FOMM (to what you had in your FOMM window) and I still crashed. Do I need to make a new game for the change to have an effect?

One moment , let me run your game here. in the mean time, on your system, go to C:\users\username\apps\local\fallout3\ Plugin.txt < copy it's contents from that document and post it here.

You must do as I tell you. you can not start a game when problems are apparently there using any tweaks of any kind or have any mods data being picked up by the games engine sitting in that data folder.

I just ran thru this vault and saved out side vault 101 with zero issues ..Using YOUR saved game file.

IF you installed NMM and were using NMM for any mods? then those mods data are loading "still".

But, your saved game shown the data sequences were in fact out of order .Each DLC content packages has internal DLC listings and they are NOT in order as the company "Bethesda wrote it", so FOSE, OR some other weird thing is still active there.

(EDIT:https://mega.nz/#!CBAHCAJQ!kEyC7pdtDaRgNzrSk-59tF3wCf24pXLAmFnhjZTmQxA) there is your updated saved game and I changed the character to female, altered the facial structures...did every thing I could to try and make the game crash...IT didn't.

don't mod the game...leave it be until you at least get some time into it. You most likely have other things , other issues going on we can't see there IF your load order has indeed been corrected and still holds this crash.

To me, I do not trust software at all to be accurate if an unknown exists.

Anything I do is under a microscope, you need to believe that.

Kitty

No mods, no tweaks, no NMM, no mods, nothing

plugins.txt is included

---------------

when I tried after fixing the load order the order was:

Fallout3

Anchorage

ThePitt

BrokenSteel

PointLookout

Zeta

to launch the game I clicked "Launch Fallout 3" in the FOMM program

What happened is basicly exactly like the video that I shared

--------------------

becuse it works for you then it must be one of these?

 • hardware (drivers included)
 • Some settings in a config file somewhere (when I was moving all of my data between computers I may have missed some fallout 3 data that i was trying to eliminate)
 • my game files were somehow broken in a way unknown to me

Whoa ! wait a minute.

when I was moving all of my data between computers I may have missed some fallout 3 data that i was trying to eliminate)

That's not a good thing to do. the other system was bad ? what format was it? OS ?

Try to understand, you need to replace all current game data now, because what you did IS in fact the cause. you have corrupted files which you and I can not fix...if this is the case.

I have been through all of this many times on a scale that would be unbelievable. I lost count.
