NexusComa
Hi, I was hoping someone could give me a list or point me at a list of decorations that would look good in a glass shelf.I have 4 tall shelf's I need to fill. They are in a main walkway and need some eye candy to fill them. Kind of want to stay within the main Skyrim.esm ... I know how to turn anything into a static item so ... thumbincubation
I tend toward a mix of helmets, the occasional broken sword, model ships, an urn here or there, and there's usually at least one helmet-on-skull combo. I also like to throw a bowl with a few gems and coins in there, and the odd dwemer gyro. Searching all > "broken" will give you a short list of iron and then a short list of steel broken weapons. In my mind, they were 'great granddad's sword, from the war.' As for a list, I don't know if anyone has compiled anything, but one of my favs is to place one of the actual Katariahs (sized to 0.1 or thereabouts) on the shelf, rather than a ship model. ShipLargeKatariah01 or ShipLargeKatariah02 Also, under statics, there are a few variants of NorDragonStatue, which make nice holders for things like war horns, when shrunken down, as does DunMiddenDaedricReliquary01. There's also (under static tab) a section for load screen art, if you prefer some "lifelike" dragonor bear statues, or something like that. If the room is to be nautical, ShipWheelBreakStatic or ShipKatariahWheel01 go nicely at floor level, against a wall, with crossed ShipOar01. And don't forget about goblets and jugs. Searching either keyword should give you a few each of silver or glazed, in various designs. I've found much less frustration in making them static than the old "disable havoc on load" deal, though. Finally, no shelf is complete without a Dibella statue, in gold or silver. StatueDibella...(variant) or one of the other Aedric statues. I have had decent luck with a Mara statue, back lit with a blueish glow, or even as a small fountain (combined with DweClutterTrough01 and the appropriate water/sound effects.) You could also shrink down one of the standing stones. Search doomstone and use one of the little fist icons. That should give you a working stone, rather than just a static. Anyway, hope it helps. Sorry it's not a better, proper list.
