Hello,

 

as I was playing around with the console inside my house, I found some useful commands that help with objects in the house.

 

I was able to delete unwanted objects of my house (the basement) and add a few things.

 

Please note this is not done, I am still going to add some wall decorations as well as more candles, etc.

 

I think I might have to wait for the kit to come out to add light tho, because I haven't been able to find any commands about light.

Before someone says anything, YES they do "save" so even if you leave your house, go to the other side of the world these objects will remain intact.

Slightly off topic:

 

I've done the quests to get the house in Solitude and became Thane basically instantly up on completion. However the quest to help 5 citizens of Haafingar never got removed from my quest log (instead I now helped 6/5...) and Jordis never got her own room.

At least I guess that “unused” room in the basement is for the Housecarl isn't it?

 

Is that a known bug?

The bed that was in the basement was not "owned" by my housecarl because I could sleep in it too. I changed the room because my dumb wife likes to sleep down there while I am sleeping at our bedroom.

 

If I were you I would look at the quest id and use the setstage command to finish that quest

I think there are specific console commands which stop acheivements, because my brother used the "player.additem 0000000f" command to give himself 100,000 gold, and is still earning acheivements.

 

Still, its interesting to note you can pull thiss off without the Construction Set. I most certianly will be waiting for the CS, but its a good thing for those with less patience.

So, what are the commands you're using?

I can create objects in the room with placeat, move them to the position of another object or myself with moveto, and rotate them by an arbitrary amount with rotate, but I can't find a command to delete them from the room, or to move them by an arbitrary pixel amount in some direction. Tried move, translate, moveby, slide, etc.

the command to delete objects is

 

markfordelete (make sure you selected the right object, because this also deletes part of the walls, floor, etc if you do not have the right object selected)

 

once you select a house object, and do this command the object will have a [d] besides its name. So leave the house, come back and that object will be gone :)

 

you can also use this command to delete items on the floor, and you don't have to leave the house to remove objects that you spawn or items in the floor.
