Companions Debt?

I've been trying to talk to, well, ANY of the members of the Companions, but they keep asking me to "pay my debt" of 40 gold.

I've paid it several times but every person, even the leader, says the same thing and I cannot even join or talk to them otherwise, no matter what option I choose.

(Either to pay the debt or to not pay it, either way, I get no interaction from them.)

 

To solve it, I've tried to get different bounties and go to jail or pay them, but it doesn't seem to work...

Any ideas?

Hey

 

You could try selecting any of the companions member whom you could pay in the console (click on the model) and typing:

 

getActorCrimePlayerEnemy

 

If the console tells you that the actor is not the players enemy, you are pretty much screwed as the bug is within the dialogue conditions and there's nothing you can do about it without the creation kit.

 

IF the console tells you that the actor is an enemy of the players due to a crime try:

 

ClearActorsFactionsPlayerEnemyFlag

 

You could also try adding your character to the companions faction with:

 

player.addfac 48362 1

 

But this might have unforseen consequences and might break any questlines ahead.
