ryanwh
I had this thought the other day when someone was talking about a mod to hide armor so their Nord barbarian looked correct. My thought then was "why isn't there a passive skill for Nords based on not wearing armor?" And then I thought about how Khajit look like they should have an easier time getting around with those claws. Why not give them a skillset to increase jump height and/or the ability to scale mountains? The once-a-day trait is novel for the first couple hours but quickly gets replaced by a Dragonborn shout. There should be more passive differences between the races, I feel. Another example could be Wood Elves possessing the ability to tame wild animals and use them as permanent companions (as opposed to the companion dog). The tree could start low with wolves and work up to snow bears or even trolls. Orcs could have a skill tree that worked like illusion magic but with passive auras. Aura of fear could mean people flee from you just from getting too close, etc. like that. It would be similar to cloaks, but with illusion magic. Useful for warrior oriented orcs who want something benificial to come from putting yourself in more danger with upclose combat. High elves could have the ability to temporarily embue a magic trait onto a weapon, and the different types of weapon would make up the skilltree as well as the level of spell that can be imbued. For example, when they pull up a bow, they would be able to pull up a magic power in their other hand and imbue it into the weapon. And then the bow, newly imbued with frenzy or something, would have that trait for x number of seconds. But they could also pull up destruction magic and imbue the weapon with that if they wanted. Even restoration magic, to make quick work of undead. Maybe Redgaurd have the ability to do the various forms of smithing without having to go to a smith or other trading based perks. So if a mod could be made to give races their own skill constellations, what do you think they should be?
