UnholyVashX
I have been "experiencing" Skyrim for a couple weeks now and the problem just keeps annoying me more and more. While playing the game I will constantly have the game freeze for 5-10 seconds and then continue again. It's worse while traveling through the world and when trying to sprint too much at once. The problem seems to get a LITTLE better when I turn down my sound quality a bit but if I turn it to lowest quality I get a 1-2 second delay on ALL sound while playing and it COMPLETELY ruins any immersion I have in the game which kills the experience. I've tried forcing AA off and what not through my nVidia settings but it was off to begin with. Right now I'm running the game on the following settings: 1280X800 Res, no AA, no AF, Medium Texture quality, Low Radial Blur, Low Shadow, None Decal Quantity. No water reflection. And no view distance over 5.The defaults are 1680X1050 and relatively higher on all other settings. My specs are: CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ 3.0GhzRAM - 3.0GbOS - Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 (build 2600)Graphics card - GeForce 8600 GT (512 MB)DirectX 9 If anymore information is needed please feel free to ask. I'm not an expert on computers and I might have missed something. Also, I did try searching the internet for answers and I tried a LOT of different things. ArcticHuntress
Have you tried using the enbdev Skyrim patches? Whenever Skyrim crashes or starts to act up I just go and see if enbdev has any new patches up and usually that solves my problems. You can find the download here, http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm, it's the first downloadable file. Oh no I have not tried that yet, thank you for the quick reply and the link. I'll mess with it and see if it doesn't help my problem. Thank you so much :) I'll let you know how it goes. EDIT: So far it looks to completely have fixed my issues and I'll be playing for the next few hours to see if it's 100% gone. Thanks so much for the help! UnholyVashX
One thing that is happening now while it has fixed my temporary lockup problem my game has completely frozen twice now. This has never happened before and I'm wondering why it's happening. If the location of the freezing is important let me know and I can see if I can't remember them. Other than that it works better than ever.
ArcticHuntress
In some of my exploits I've come across a few locations that would completely crash my computer, then other times they've worked fine. I'm not entirely sure what you should do, maybe try to avoid an area that keeps crashing until a bit later.

Yeah, after playing for about 3 hours I realized it was only 2 spots, and not even the entire area, just a specific path I was taking. Might just be a bug or something. Oh well, the patch is working fine and I'm experiencing no other problems. Thanks for the patch! :D
