nofear88
Basically Skyrim ceases to play and It "crashes" to desktop. It has been doing this more frequently and in random places at anytime of the game. My FPS is pretty good in nearly all areas except for large dust partical areas but I can live with that. It could be something to do with all the HD texture packs I have downloaded recently and also the FXAA Post Process Injector: http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=131 but I deleted the files related to it to see any diffence. I have enough RAm and a decent enough graphics card. The Specs are if I am correct: http://img442.imageshack.us/img442/6881/73909286.jpg Graphics card model is 9500 GT Nvidia I am also playing in Windowed Mode as I have done with Fallout and Oblivion in the past. I yet to patch it to the latest one (yesterday was it released?) Edited November 23, 2011 by nofear88
ArcticHuntress
The enddev Skyrim Patch seems to fix most of my CTD issues and random annoyances, here is the download page http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm
nofear88
Trying this out now aswell as downloading the latest Nvidia graphics card and cleaning my Disc drive as I forgot to do. Also will play in full screen mode to see any luck. Thanks.
nofear88
Jesus did it immediatly when I started up the game! What the heck?
ArcticHuntress
Sorry to hear about that. Does Nvidia have beta drivers out, something similar to what AMD did or is that what you just tried?
nofear88
Unsure really as didnt check whist downloading it tho when removing my meshes and texture folders in my data folder, and playing for a good 10 mins, nothing happened. It may be something to do with the high res textures. If so, thats a real annoying shame.
ArcticHuntress
In a few more days the official Construction Set will hopefully be available and a new Skyrim Update so a fix for both might be ready soon.

nofear88
I am heavery considering getting a major cpu update with a new graphics card aswell as 8 GB of Ram. Would updating the Cpu, Ram and graphics card do much from my current setting? 64 bit would also be needed
ArcticHuntress
If the bug that's causing the crashes is within Skyrim itself, a major hardware update won't be too much help. If you can afford to update it however there isn't any harm in doing so.
