MajKrAzAm
Hi I was playing Morrowind today and I picked up a lot of heavy loot, I started running but it said you are over encumboured, I realised the NPC in front of me who was running slowed down a tiny bit, when it said I was over encomboured. So I held the run button [i was over encomboured] and the NPC was then running in slow motion, when I let go of run he started running normally! Could anyone explain this? -MajKrAzAm
loveme4whoiam
Apart from asking if you're fully patched up and have any wierd mods running, then i guess you've chanced upon one of the more unique bugs the Bethesda missed. Nice one ^_^

wesaynothin
That one is official, so I don't think that's the problem. Just patch up yur game, and if it still doesn't work, good job! you found a nice 'lil bug.
Guest
That's a great bug you found there, I'm gonna try this one right away. See a NPC running in slow moting :). Maybe Bethesda put this one in and is it not a bug. You never know.
Curt Sibling
I have had monsters and NPCs running at me in slow mo, when I have NOT been encumbered, this has occurred plenty of times. And my version of MW is fully patched and working. A slo-mo skeleton warrior running at you is actually rather unsettling.
evp
NO GAME WITHOUT A BUG.. or it could be that Bethesda made this for a reason fx if you are in battle and a (dead) monster has a rare item that you grab, but you cant get away because you are over encomboured and 4 monsters are coming at ya... So it (the bug) gives you a chance to drop something and run away
Dijas
Since I read this post today and I played Morrowind later, I noticed a Kagouti running in slowmotion. I wasn't over-emcumbred, but something was going on, can't remember what. Then I was interrupted by this Kagouti that started running and stucked in a road rope. Was my char in slowmotion too? Dunno. But I think the only reason I noticed it was the fact that I read this very thread some hours ago, otherwise I wouldn't notice.
Limorkil
I've been attacked by slow motion creatures both in the PC version and on the Xbox GotY version. I see it a lot more on the PC version for some reason. I see it quite a lot with scamps, and sometimes with skeletons. What I am wearing, carrying and my level of encumberance makes no difference. I have never seen this problem with NPCs. If you have an NPC companion then the speed at which they follow you seems to be linked to your speed rather than their speed, so if you are very slow then they will be slow. Of course, there is no reason why this bug could not potentially affect any NPC/creature. I have no idea what causes it.
Vampire
Off topic slightly but not worth making an entire new topic for.. is it worth patching your Morrowind.. I have the GOTY edition.
