Next, does this only happen after you have shut down the game and re-entered, if so, do you get a "Send error report to Microsoft" after you shut the game down? hightimes420 Posted January 8, 2008 Author Share Posted January 8, 2008 Hey there, thanks for responding. yes I'm using streamline, operation optimization 1.1.1 and obse (if that makes any difference) the game is usually cool when I exit, although if it's been on for a while it tends to simply freeze. the settings switch in game, ill be walking through the forest and change my settings (i prefer to play without grass for the extra fps) then usually one or two steps later the grass pops back up, all my settings are switched. I tried changing this in the streamline INI but I either don't fully understand it or It's not working. I will post my Streamline INI just in case, sorry it's massive. Also the format came out a bit weird, (I just copied and pasted it) You might also notice I tweaked the settings although it was mostly guesswork. I use 4x anti alias and indoors my fps is 50-60, outside though it drops to about 10-20 this is playable though and much less annoying then the grass and actor switch up (and noticeably faster now that grass is gone) then again I've heard of Oblivion bringing much better rigs then mine to their knees, just for #$%@'s and giggles I'll post my specs. Maybe I need an upgrade? Then I looked at your specs and they are all almost exactly the same as mine. Except I have a p4 2.8GHz, the 7600GT is a good card though, IMO. Glad it all worked out for you, any other issues and I'll see what I can do. EDIT:I am thinking about an upgrade, from agp and ddr to the promised lands of pci-e and ddr2, and now the 8800gt is coming down in price in Australia, and I'm about to get cashed up as my new job starts I may just get it. I heard Celeron was known for some issues with games and as for the upgrading I'm not as hardware savvy as I could be (I just replaced my 512 ram with 2 gigs and for me that was -the- upgrade). Now it's time for me to get to this game. I first Installed Oblivion well over a year ago but through hardware problems and Modding I never actually played through it.
