oblivion19929
For example the mods in optimizing oblivion part 3 shows some mods that increase lanscape textures. But do they affect performance as in make my game run slower?
NiteX
Speaking of increasing visuals for performance you guys know of a more grass mod? Something that would increase the amount of grass that appears? I feel the game has too many grass gaps and it takes away from the visuals. cyronarxes
do they affect performance as in make my game run slower?Yes, alas it does. Thankfully though, there is Streamline which buffers memory at a constant level improving fps. You should also try Operation optimization. Chow. malonn
Yeah most "make Oblivion Prettier" mods affect performance negatively. Especially QTP3 - that's a monstrous demon beast from the gates of hell. But there are many things that can help to absorb the impact of such mods. Like people say, Streamline, Operation Optimization, Oblivion Polygon Overhaul (arguably), .ini tweaks, Oblivion Script Optimization, HARDWARE UPGRADE, etc.
