Oh. My. God.....

I'm physically ashamed to say this....but...

Why is the retro theme tune so damned catchy!! :'(

...where'd I leave my Katana.....

Try convince Bethesda to add a "-retro" command to Skyrim for old times sake :P?

Shame they were founded 1986; would be an "awesome" 20 year anniversary extra :L

Not to rain on the other musician's parade, but I happen to do some musical work of a more chiptuned variety myself. I've actually been trying to make a few bucks off of it, although spreading the word has been a little hard (mostly because people tend to treat it with a "yeah sure whatever" mindset).

(Shameless plug: Buy mah album!) I generally tend to try for more complex music, but I can also go super-basic if that's what you're after.

Or, y'know, break out the wubba-jack.

I'd be all for taking the Skyrim soundtrack apart and re-down-mixing it into something chiptastic. Or, apply the Break\Shift sound to Skyrim. I'm already considering a gag-mod that replaces Shouts with various patterns of Dubstep Wub.

Heck, I'll even bitcrush the different Shout sound effects. Nothing like a little staticky FUS ROH DAH to throw that pixelated wolf around.

Edit: Well, egg on my face. I certainly got to the game late! For some reason the other page numbers weren't showing, so I went on the assumption that there wasn't an officially signed-on musician for the project. Narts.

I love the 8-bit main theme, though unfortunately some parts don't translate well to the simpler tones.

it also feels like some parts could be cleaned a bit, though that might just be my shoddy earphones.

That said, I'd love it if the rest of the soundtrack was translated as well. I'd do it myself if I had the know-how, there's something delightfully entrancing about this.

After a couple of days of gathering new materials, I am ready to redo my previously done sprites a bit, as I was just experimenting on what would look good where. Some textures, such as the somewhat famous log, will stay. Its go time!

Also, I think I got an idea on what to do with all these umpteen billion character sprites lying around, as I cant put them anywhere really (except for paintings)...

also, I am now taking any requests for clothes and armor "enhancements" of this nature. :)
