Prethorius
I need some wise man who will remove all room bounds from game without side effects. I expect some fps drop, that's ok. Edited August 2, 2016 by Prethorius
Surilindur
Assuming room bounds still exist in Fallout 4 (have not checked), why would you want to remove them? Just curious. Based on the description, they should be a pure instrument of optimisation that actually benefits the player and does not take anything away from the visual experience (assuming they are used correctly). Or is there something more to them?
Prethorius
Sometimes they cause textures/objects to vanish and stuck in that state. Edited August 2, 2016 by Prethorius
Surilindur
Now that sounds odd. Could it be bad positioning from the one who made the cell? If so, maybe the room bounds could be adjusted somehow? That would make sense to me, at least. Removing all room bounds would probably murder FPS completely. Have you tested it? As in, adjusting single room bounds of an interior to encompass that whole interior or something else to achieve the effect of the game rendering everything in that cell? Maybe it is just me not having enough faith in Bethesda's engine, but I fear it might cripple the game pretty efficiently, even on decent handware. I think the USKP/USLEEP does some room bound changes in Skyrim. If it is about room bound positioning (or object positioning), does the Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch team have a bug tracker the issues could be submitted in? For example at the AFK Mods forums? I do not think I have run into that issue myself. Odd. But I will be sure to keep an eye out for anything suspicious, maybe I just have not paid enough attention to the issues before. Edit: Does the MBC console command solve it, in case that comand is still there in Fallout 4? The one mentioned on that Skyrim wiki page? Perraine
The OP may also be experiencing the Infamous Pre-Culling Lod Flicker that plagues area's that have been majorly changed from vanilla. If using one of the "scrap" mods to delete whole buildings or parts of buildings,(or if using a mod that has altered a vanilla area by simply deleting things in the CK) the game sometimes refuses to acknowledge the fact, and you'll get "ghost" images of the removed item/mesh, plus if it was a wall or building that you couldn't see through before, then the game won't render what was originally "behind" that wall, so you'll end up with big "invisible" areas flickering in and out. There is a mod on the Nexus that does help a great deal to fix this issue though. It's not "perfect" but it does help a lot!
Prethorius
Perraine you mean "no more disappearing act" mod? Its creator allready told me he's not going to patch interior cells. Room bounds are using in interriors. I just need room bounds to be gone. That's the only way to fix disappearing issue. I need some soft method to disable them. Deleting room markers will do the work but in some locations like Cambridge police station they're connected to some important to the plot refs.
