Euclid Posted November 23, 2011 Share Posted November 23, 2011 (edited) Hi All, Finally reached lvl 100 and got the Alteration Ritual Spell quest. I've looted the dagger earlier so during the next dragon encounter I've equipped it and kept slashing away but nothing happend. Read on the web that you just have to slash a few times, even on previously killed dragon corpses, and then hit "E" to get the scales and the quest update. But that doesn't work for me. Slashing and hitting "E" just opens the loot of the dargon corps. How I'm suppose to get the scales? Help is appreciated. Maybe it's because I got the dagger before the quest was started. Anyway, solved the "bug" by using console commands setstage MGRitual05 20 and then player.additem 000D0756 1. Before it started I couldn't drop/sell the dagger, even though I didn't have the quest at that point, so I wondered what it was used for. When I got the quest I was like "heeeey that name sounds familiar"I even tried it on dragons after the quest was done and still got the scaled, but they have the same value as normal scales, sadly. Would have been nice to get better ones like that, in terms of vendor price. Maybe you can't use it on every dragon? Right after accepting the quest an Elder Dragon attacked me right in front of the door in the mage college courtyard. LobselVith66 Posted December 7, 2011 Share Posted December 7, 2011 (edited) I had the same problem when I initially accepted the quest from Tolfdir, and I acquired Kahvozein's Fang after I received the quest. Perhaps the problem was that I killed Mirmulnir instead of a generic dragon. I ended up having to kill a second dragon (located at one of the Word Walls) to get the heartscales by gripping Kahvozein's Fang in my right hand and checking the corpse of the dragon, since it never registered with the initial dragon that I killed.
