HAS ANYONE RUN INTO A GAME SAVE LIMIT? I HEARD THAT OBLIVION HAD SOME MAJOR CRASHES ONCE OVER 1000. NOT THAT I'LL NEED THAT MANY BUT WOULD LIKE TO KNOW BEFORE I BECOME TOO INVOLVED THEN HAVE A CRASH. I'M USING A PC WINDOWS 7.

I DONT KNOW, MAN. I ONLY KEEP A COUPLES SAVES. MY CHARACTER MAKES HIS CHOICES AND THEN LIVES WITH THEM, AND I HAVE A COUPLE BACKUPS INCASE THE GAME GETS BUGGED OR SOMETHING. IF YOU HONESTLY WANT TO FIND OUT IF THE GAME CRASHES AT 1000 SAVES, THEN JUST GO AHEAD AND MAKE 1000 SAVES AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. WE PROBABLY WOULDN'T FIND OUT ABOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT FOR QUITE SOME TIME, AND IT HONESTLY SHOULDN'T PREVENT YOU FROM BECOMING "TOO INVOLVED".

I sure hope it wont happen... the saves count all together im at 970 now (several chars lol) I save before every dungeon or every pickpocket attempt and every... 15/30 minutes it became a habbit... I just hope over a thousand saves wont mess things up :/ (1000 saves as in... that you have saved a thousand times but only have like 5 save files.. Heh ) Edited by marabunta5

I haven't had a problem, but I have not gotten close yet to 1000 saves. My question is whether saving multiple times with the same save game is more or less problematic that creating new save games each time you save.

You could, of course, go into your save folder, cut the save files, and paste them in another folder right next to it called (Backup saves) so your system doesnt have to load the whole list of 1000 saves(Currently at 700 myself, do this every time you shut the game down)
