sirxazor Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 do you know how HARD it would be to do this? all the "co op" mods you see on youtube are keyloggers trying to hack your computer.
kuro1n Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 http://skyrimmp.com/ Only project ive found so far.
Thepal Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Multiplayer will take a long time to do, and even longer to do in a playable fashion. Getting an actual decent multiplayer mode may never happen.
FireBug3 Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 Well, somepony could hack in client to manipulate events, only thing that will be left is to make NPC's like 10 times stronger, and this will be very playable for like 4 people coop, no other changes needed, except maybe to make it more simple, only one of them should be able to talk to quests npcs, and your multiplayer is dome.
Roltak Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I think you have to at least wait 1-2 years till you can even seriously look for a halfway working alpha of a mp mod for Skyrim. As long as Papyrus or however they call their new Scripting language has no way to open a TCP/UDP/whatever connection or write to the hard drive or anything like that, we will have to wait till the Skyrim Script Extender has matured enough to support such complex commands. Naturally all under the assumption, that it is even possible.
Wortnes Posted November 23, 2011 Posted November 23, 2011 I would PAY for such mod. Bethesda could make us a Coop DLC and let us explore skyrim with our friends.
necKros Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 Not gonna happen. Skyrim's engine just doesn't work like that. You could get to see another player rendered in your world in a very glitchy way, but that would be all. MP games must be prepared from scratch, or have very adaptative engines, which doesn't happen in Skyrim.

ShockKiller Posted November 24, 2011 Posted November 24, 2011 I made one for Oblivion, and as soon as the CK comes out, I'm making one...
