Vyschalla
None of my .esp files are augmenting my game. I have installed Craftable Arrows, Bonus Craftable Items (volume 1 & 2), JaySuS Weapons, Realistic Ragdoll Force, and a few others. I have checked my game's data directory, and the .esp files are there like they should be. I checked the skyrim ini file and I have "bEnableFileSelection=1" under [Launcher]. Finally, I have all the boxes checked on the first tab of NMM, indicating they should be both plugged in and loaded. Yet none of them are active in the game. I spent the last two days familiarizing my self with NMM, reading the help on the forums, and watching the 15 min youtube vid, and I can't figure out why the .esp files simply don't work. I am baffled, because it seems like I'm doing everything right. Please help? <3 ~Vysch
MShoap13
Once you activated and set the load order of your mods in NMM do not open the Data Files section of the launcher. Make sure all of your .esm files are loading before any .esp files. Outside of this, there really isn't much more you can do besides wait on patches for Skyrim or NMM. :psyduck: Edit: I found another potential issue where Skyrim is unable to write to it's own resources. plugins.txt and DLClist.txt located at C:\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\Skyrim\ on Windows XP or C:\Users\[uSERNAME]\AppData\Local\Skyrim on Vista/7 are automatically marked read only. Go make the whole \Skyrim\ folder there writable by right-clicking it and unchecking the "Read Only" tick mark. Vyschalla
Thanks, I'll re-read the posts on here about the .ini files and load order for the check-boxes. Edited November 23, 2011 by Vyschalla
Vyschalla
Strange, now that I've updated the NMM and am trying to load my mods, I get this error each time I attempt to plug in a mod. A problem occured during install:Reset action must be initialized with no changed items.Parameter name: actionThe mod was not installed What went wrong? I'm going to uninstall and reinstall NMM and see if that fixes it. Edited November 23, 2011 by Vyschalla
Vyschalla
Apparently the problem is with finding the game's directory, even though I haven't changed it, I need to sort out this pathing issue before I can progress...
Vyschalla
Ive done a full reinstall and I'm still getting that error, no matter how many times I set all three directories correctly in NMM's options. I'm giving up for tonite, this is retarded. >.<
Plutoman101
When I used NMM, downloading esp's into it did NOT work. I had to manually download them, place them in the folder, then activate them. Could just need some work, it's an open beta after all.
Vyschalla
Yeah I found out that all my problems stemmed from using NMM. I even watched all his videos on youtube and spent 3 hours studying how it worked, and it kept messing up with unusual errors and stuff. But yeah, I can get all the mods to work, it's not a big deal. I do hope that both the NMM for Skyrim gets fixed and it also becomes the main way people do addons for Skyrim, cuz if it worked it would be an incredibly helpful and awesome tool!
