Caillah
I have decided to start a fresh game after aquiring Shivering Isles as a Christmas gift. I want to update my collection of mods and include OOO. I have used OBMM in the past but as yet have no experience with Wrye Bash and quite frankly find it a bit overwhelming at this point. I am attempting to learn it though. My reading about load order, enhancements and replacers has me more fascinated than ever but as yet I have quite a few things to learn. My question is this. After reading the Load Order list on http://www.alquier.org/TES/Plugins.htm I am confused as to why the Shivering Isles Unofficial patch would be installed long before the Shivering Isles Official Plugin. Also the OOO .esm comes long before the .esp file. Obviously there is something about load order that I am missing. Should the Load Order go as follows: Oblivion.esmOfficial PatchUnofficial PatchOOO 1.32OOO patch (RC53, I believe)Shivering IslesUnofficial SI patch My next question is regarding the installation of OOO. I attempted to create an OMOD by loading the archive and realized that there were options inside the zipped file that I needed to choose. I then loaded the (Full version) .esp file, the meshes, the textures and sounds by clicking them and adding them as folders to create the OMOD. When I started the game, in the prisoner cell the female NPC had a head, but no body and inside the underground cavern there was the big yellow pyramid and items were not visible. So I have obviously incorrectly put my OMOD together. When creating the OMOD for OOO is there an order to add the folders? Is the error I made one that is obvious? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
malkion
ESMs will always go before ESPs. You really dont have to worry about load order unless something is whacked ingame. Then you try to figure out which mods are conflicting. If a mod has been around and been thoroughly tested, the readme should tell you the load order. Basically, the load order is by creation date of the mod. No need to worry about it unless conflicts arise.
Caillah
OK thanks. I hadn't used the OBMM (not added mods for awhile) for nearly a year and had forgotten how to properly use it. I will keep my babystep notes in my binder. LOL I am now remembering how to use the BSA alteration utillity. I had checked the conflict list and of course when you are changing something it appears to conflict when it is doing what it should. This was making it hard for me to know if it was a problem conflict or just the natural adjustment.
