I have Steam,Skyrim,Nexus Mod manager installed all installed by default installations. ( Installed by clicking "yes"Yes"yes" sorta thing.) I downloaded mods and turned them on but no mod works at all. Could this be because I downloaded a Steam patch?

Im running Windows 7 64bit.

I have a skyrim folder in " My Documents" and also in "C:"

I also found a few skyrim files in the Steam folder.

I can provide any more information as requested, But im not too enlightened on the tech side, I do know my way around enough to co-op.

Try finding the \Skyrim\ folder in C:\Documents and Settings\(User Name)\Local Settings\Application Data\ on XP or C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\ on Vista/7 and making it writable by unchecking the "Read Only" tick mark box.

If it asks to apply the change to all the files within it choose yes.

Also, once you've activated mods and chosen your load order in NMM do not open the Data Files section of the launcher.

Ok man, im doing ill try this now.

When ever I try to untick the box and apply the changes it takes about 10 seconds to apply them to all the subfolders and files but when I click properties it says it ticked again. So I untick it and it repeats but the moment I open the properties again its still ticked.
