odd bug

this is the n-th time im playing oblivion, with only the kvatch rebuilt and stirk mod added, nothing more, and ive never encountered this bug before

 

but as soon as i arrived on shivering isles, i noticed my mages guild key was gone from my inventory. remarkable since the key cannot be dropped.

then, after slaying the gatekeeper, i pick his keys up, proceed w the rest of the quest, and not untill im finished with the island, i notice again - i picked both the gatekeepers keys up, mania and dementia; both keys are missing from my inventory

 

not only that, but i was also preparing myself to be annoyed by the undroppable "materials lists" - which were also missing from my inventory

 

thats a total of 5 undroppable items - gone from my inventory :I poof.

 

now, this isnt a huge problem, ive unlocked all mages guild doors, and frankly ive often used console commands to remove the shivering isles keys and materials lists when i no longer needed them. i finished all important quests that include quest items,

 

but has anybody else encountered this? ive seen suggestions of too many items, but that is inconcievable to me, ive carried obscene ammounts of items before with no issues, and i travelled almost nude to the shivering isles, in order to be able to carry as much loot as possible while im there, and still, on arrival, my mages guild key was gone, so its obviously not a too-many-items bug

well, the bug just turned into a problem

 

im doing the vampire cure quest, the witch gave me the knife to stab an argonian with, and guess what

its instantly vanished from my inventory............

 

i just added it to myself using console commands, and no effect. its either invisible, or instantly re-vanishes from inventory, either way, i cannot use it :I

 

this is getting annoying, im suspecting all quest items for some reason turn invisible. which will turn my vampire cure invisible and unusable as well :S

i confirmed that my quest items do indeed turn invisible. by nullifying the "questness" via the console, they re-appeared in my inventory.

still tedious, and i am still puzzled as why this is happening, and so consistently with all my quest items.
