Explosive mod on energy weapons? if yes its bugged, if not forget it xD

i have read on reddit that its possible to get the explosive mod on every weapon. so this includes energy weapons too

on the fallout wiki i read thats its only possible for balistic weapons. so whats true?

I think it may be true for weapons the game drops but mods change everything. I have the Legendary mod, Weaponsmith, and Armorsmith mods loaded and you can build anything you want. My power armor has almost indestructible and vats enhanced on every piece. My gatling lasers have a variety of combos including explosive but I prefer wounding and powerful. The AOE on explosive creates too much collateral damage

i asked because i build (with the mod Legendary Modification) an explosive plasma shotgun

but with the explosive mod on it the plasma projectiles vanish (only the green optical effect) and act like reualar ballistic projectiles

 

so if its not possible the get the explosive mod on energy weapons its all fine, because then its not a bug

 

but if its possible to get this mod on a normal way, it is bugged

 

thats why i wanna know it

It's not bugged, the "explosive" prefix is not supposed to be applied to energy weapons (only ballistic). http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Legendary_weapon_effects
