Diabeasty
I'm pretty new to these forums, and Oblivion alltogether. I'm pretty sure this is a problem with Vista, but either way... I currently run Oblivion 1.0, the original version Okay, so I defragged my computer, grabbed the patch, ran it... And it freezes all the time at 0%! What's up with that? Does anyone else know how I can do this, or if I need to downgrade to XP?Any help would be much appreciated.
Xeniorn
What happened to me that I got the wrong patch by accident. Double check if the patch version is the same as your oblivion version. (UK, US)
Diabeasty
Mmm... I have the US version and the US patch... I tried patching to 1.1, but it gives me the old file error whatchamacallit. I'm going to try using my old laptop to get the patched files and do that...
Diabeasty
Never mind, my old laptop has gone completely kaput since xmas. It won't even start... I tried uninstalling Oblivion and resinstalling it, so it must be a problem with Vista...

damstachizz
Sorry, I don't know what admin mode is. :confused:OK then, Q-Guide:Right Click on Installer, Navigate to Properties, Make sure ''Run as Administror'' is checked. Apply, and close. If that fails:Right click on installer, and under 'open' select 'Run as Administrator'..Try that. And if you Arn't the Admin of the PC, Get the Admin to install it on thier account. Diabeasty
Eh, It still freezes. I'm probably going to be downgrading to XP soon anyway...
TheTerminator2004
Try leaving it for 10 minutes or so. Sometimes it stays on 0% for quite some time before the progress bar starts moving.
