Nephelus
So, I've had this problem for a really long time but it seems to be getting worse. After some indeterminate amount of time in game, random textures will start to be replaced with a random assortment of colors. These replacements only appear on the object when it is far away. Moving closer causing them to return to normal. The texture that this happens for is random and will change over time. The only fix is restarting the game but it's guaranteed to happen after a while. Sometimes I go for hours without seeing it. Recently though, it happens with 30 minutes. No idea if this is related to a mod or my hardware. I have an R9 390 graphics card. 999jamie999ferns999
I have the exact same issue, and I am running the game with no mods.
bill8872
It one of two issues, as I do not see any mods that affect the locations this happens at. 1) verify the game files through Steam, as its possable your mesh's are messed up or,2) your computer has issues reading ba2 files correctly. If this is the case then I am not sure what you can do about that one.
Purr4me
Both users here with this problem, please verify if the fan on your system is up to par, that looks like a heat issue.Something is getting hot, the colors are Direct x rendering loss. You could reinstall direct x from with in the games folder. and test it.But clean out the fans on the PC's. Mine is packed in to a Wine cooler and I never again seen this take place, no more dust Either.
gameboytj
What about users on console? I heard they are getting the same thing too.
Purplynne
I get the same issue. From what I understand it has something to do with how your PC handles BA2 files. I mostly get the bug on vanilla files/tectures. Re loading the game makes it go away but it eventually returns. Some clothing mods I used had the same issue but I was able to use the Bethesda Archive Extractor to change the files from BA2 to loose and the issue goes away but like I said I mostly get the issue on vanilla textures like trees, rocks, dogmeats face lol. The files that contain those vanilla textures are in BA2 format but I don't think I should extract vanilla files to make them loose.

Try ENB, didnt work.Maybe your graphics card is over heating, doesn't go past 60C not the cause. (speccy doesn't say it's overheating)Maybe it's a bad ini tweak. I reverted it to vanilla, didn't work :(I even tried increasing texture draw distance, it didnt work and it make the game have worse performance and longer load times... Purplynne
I have asked and asked everywhere I could think of and get no real answers. I have heard every issue and tried every remedy that you mentioned. No idea what the cure is. But like I said I had the issue with mod textures that were in BA2 format when I extracted the files into loose files the issue with that mod went away. The only texture issues I have now are with strictly vanilla files and I have tried playing with and without mods. Matter of fact it the 1st time I noticed it I was still playing the original un modded game.
