Well in the last topic I wrote I asked for some help and I got it so you all have my thanks, so I learned how to edit and create new armor and how to edit the armor of the game ...but! there is a question that is bothering me that is pointing at some mods that ive seen that other moders do that are the ones that they change the textures of the armor.(Example: The Dragonebone Armor is changed to the same armor but in a more daedric color). So I ask here, if I may this

1. How can I change the textures of an armor that is on the game to the one that ive created and seen?( I use Nif Skope)

2. Can I, well I dont know how to put this, Can I "change" an armor of the game to be one of my newly created armors?

Well, thats all. May everyone have a good day!

- If I understand your question correctly. You can rexture any item or create a new texture for any item with programs such as Gimp/Photoshop.

To retexture an already existing item, say Dragonplate Shield. You need to:

1. Extract the texture from textures.bsa (if you create your own texture from scratch disregard this step)

2. Open the texture with gimp/photoshop or similar program being able to open and edit .dds files.

3. Change what you want of the texture.

4. Save it and place it in a correct texture path (something like textures/armor/dragonplate) in the skyrim/data folder.

2. Can I, well I dont know how to put this, Can I "change" an armor of the game to be one of my newly created armors?

- Yes. If you, let's say, want to change the Dragonplate Armor to Steel Armor you need to do the following.

1. Extract Steel Armor from meshes.bsa and Steel Armor textures from textures.bsa

2. Create the correct folder path in skyrim/data (meshes/armor/... & textures/armor...)

3. Copy the Steel Armor.nif's into meshes/armor/... and the Steel Armor textures into textures/armor...

I hope this was sufficient.
