Blkdrgn415
I've done everything from re-installing mods and the game to completely removing mods, but this problem still persists. As a result, the facial hair doesn't show except the long beards which for some reason are transparent and also tweaking out. I suspect if a working ArchiveInvalidated existed for Skyrim this problem would be solved, but seeing as NMM's is glitched and doesn't work, that won't help. The mods I've installed are: Enhanced Blood TexturesLockpick ProAll of Xenius's Character Enhancement mod's Can anyone help me? http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/2753/screenshot7js.png http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/1415/screenshot2770.png
MShoap13
Did you use the console to get to the Race Menu and alter your characters race after starting the game? Someone posted a similar issue (with no screen shots) about a week ago from them changing their race is why I ask. You could also try starting a brand new save (from the very beginning) just to rule out any weird glitches that may have happened to that save file along the way. Blkdrgn415
I believe I did, thanks I'll try your suggestion.
NoireWidow
I am having the same problem myself, I would really hate having to restart the game over this though. Any other fixes?
MShoap13
Convert your character back to the race it was. Or start a new game and use the console to get you back to where you were... I personally look forward to replaying the game 3 or 4 times with different classes and builds. 8) Edited November 26, 2011 by MShoap13
NoireWidow
I've never wavered from Nord. I do plan on replaying as a different race from the beginning, but I would rather finish the game first. MShoap13
Was the problem there as soon as you made your character or did it appear later? What mods/ini tweaks do you currently have installed? You could try extracting the textures for Nords (it may be shared with Imperials and Bretons) to the \Data\textures\ folder to see if your case is caused by the extraction process, though all the cases I've seen of this involved changing the race of the character in question after it had already been saved at least once. It happened when I put on the SonsOfTalos armor (Stormcloak officer armor) that is when it glitched out. I thought it was temporary, so I changed back to nightingale armor, kept playing, When i restarted I noticed the glitches remained. I deleted textures, added them again, edited the dds myself, deleted all mods, installed them again... Changed to preset face, and nothing. Nothing seems to work, Now I am going to try and use the default video settings, see if that works.
throttlekitty
It looks like there's a second head mesh in there... with daedric textures or something?I'm not sure what to suggest, since I've no clue what actually caused this. I'd wager a guess on something to do with using the console commands for race/face edit.
MShoap13
It's possible that armor is glitched somehow, or that the game is just glitched and putting that particular armor on wasn't necessarily the exact cause only the catalyst. Either way, your save file is basically corrupted now and your only options are to revert back to a save without the glitch, or to start over. Sure, it's possible to Hex Edit your save file in theory but good luck figuring that out. If Bethesda doesn't fix this hopefully someone like Wrye will, only time will tell. There may be other workarounds that haven't yet been discovered but I doubt it. As throttlekitty said, it looks like the game is loading conflicting textures (due to the save file telling it to). Edit: I got to thinking about workarounds and it may be possible to use the console to tell the game which textures to be using for your character, though I'm not console savvy enough to tell you if such a command even exists much less how to use it. It might be worth looking into though (check the Steam and Bethsoft forums maybe?) Edited November 26, 2011 by MShoap13
