jcscrogs
I think it would be cool if we could customize companions like we can ourselves, have a separate menu screen just for them, with the skill tree and everything. Maybe even customizable companions, create a companions race, or the ultimate, be able to use a previous character we have from this (or any TES game) and use it as a companion. jcscrogs
Well I meant to post this in the forum for mod requests, just realized it isn't, sorry.
SaturnFX
On that note (it will be done..fairly routine desire..but typically not just for companions but for anyone). I would suggest putting it as a spell you auto gain, but, attach it to something like speechcraft. Get level 25 of speechcraft and you got a "spell" you can cast on someone that allows for the makeover process (you tell em how to wear their hair, etc, if you are into the roleplay justification...hey, maybe wash your face and put some salve on that scar..) So, whomever decides to start that project, maybe keep that in mind...make it somewhat an immersive experience...and hell, even give a small bump of speechcraft the more you do it (since its freaking hard to build up speechcraft anyhow..might as well become the skyrim fashion designer)
jcscrogs
Be able to cast a spell and be able to recruit anyone would be cool, if that is what your are suggesting, just a better companion system all around - although Skyrim's isn't bad, the guide (the one you buy) says that if you use a follower (one that comes with the game) you won't lose them, all you have to do is fast travel or load a new area, or wait/sleep and they will be there. I have found this to be true, Lydia got killed and it took a while to get the message from the courier she had died, but eventually I got it. Vejita00
I would kill to lessen companion invincibility and allow the ability to customize their AI somewhat. Is it totally impossible to ever give them some kind of programmable AI like in Dragon Age? I always felt that system was best. If not, I'd be happy with just being bale to order them to flee melee and stay at range.
jcscrogs
To make them weaker you can use a console command to reduce their health, and a different one to check their stats, don't have them available at the moment or I would list them. But yes, a better dialog/command system would be nice.
