Is there any way to place items in house?

I don't know if this works for everything, but I saw a post on here a while back about the same troubles.

One person's solution was this (& for the one item I've used it on so far, it worked!):

Drop item.

Use unrelenting force on item.

Drag to desired location.

SAVE.

Leave house.

Return.

Et voila!

Just make sure you don't drop the item between Fus Ro DAH'ing & placing it.

& again, I'm not sure if it works on everything. I tried it on some Alto Wine, which after the process, I placed on a shelf in my kitchen in Windhelm. Seemed to do the trick. That was weeks ago (in game) & it still hasn't moved.

The first part of your statment is correct, the last is false and a tad offensive.

I admit it is a while ago I've played Morrowind and maybe I mix it up with Oblivion but I do remember to have opened my inventory and then grab an item, like a sword, to place it somewhere - many times, in fact.

How is aquiring knowledge of the games physics by playing it false? If you play the game, you know its physics. You make very little sense.

Also, if you think me implying you didn't play Morrowind is offensive, then i really feel sorry for you. You are not nearly important enough to me to offend.

Okay thanks for the advice. I'll see if that works. I will add that I did save before I left. It didn't help. :/

Thanks tho. I'll see if shouting at Dibella makes her stand still c_c

Actually, there is a bookshelf in Breezehome that automatically sorts books into it for you. Sadly, though, it is only the one shelf and it only holds about a dozen books at most. Waiting for modders to grab that code & let me build my own personal library. I've been a compulsive book collector since Morrowind.

Also, Oblivion & Morrowind had their fair share of automatic sorting/placement mods that allowed wall mounted weapons, working display cases, and even mannequins for your armor. So again, I doubt it will take long for modders to add more of that to Skyrim once they get their hands on the construction set.

Sadly, though, it is only the one shelf

you must click with your cursor at the front of the lower shelf then you can also fill the second shelf (sure, still not enough for a good libary, but mods for that will come for sure)
