Darkstyler35
<cleaned my registry from errors> what if your prefered registry app cleaned keys that it shouldn't ? May be the problem is simply here. In the past I used to clean my OS with several programs, (jv16, started with the v1.xx...) and I finally stopped to do that and since, I have a better stability and don't have to reinstall my OS every 6 months. I flee those programs now like the pest. My antivirus says my computer is too slow and needs to be cleaned. (takes less than 40 sec to load my OS (installed since 18/09/2013) and I've never had a so fast computer).
Finxxur
I once had that problem that the wrong keys got deleted and I don't even think that it has something to do with it this time, I guess there is not much left to do than either restoring factory settings, reinstalling Windows 7 or upgrading to Windows 10. I don't know if Windows 10 is able to run Skyrim or other older games though. I could also restore a backup from 2011, but that would be as good as reinstalling the entire OS, considering all the updates since then Edited August 18, 2016 by Finxxur
Darkstyler35
In case you'll reinstall a clean win 7, here are some suggestions :Make skyrim vanilla again, will ensure a pristine condition game. Before installing any mod at first, you may use an efficient guide to build your game : STEP or STEP legendary. Some of the tips below are already covered by STEP. Use crash fixes with the UseOSAllocators=1 enabled. Skse installation : skse on steam or Manual install. (SKSE, memory and skse.ini). SKSE logs are here : C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE. SKSE troubleshooting guide. Install ENBOOST >> ENB graphics / ENB haxx. Make sure you're using the latest USLEEP instead of the obsolete unofficial patches. If some of your old mods require them, you may use the USLEEP swap masters. Make sure you're using the good mods >> Dangerous mods list. Use L.O.O.T once and click on the "sort plugins buttons". Clean your master files to eliminate potential problems : Gopher's videos cleaning your masterfiles on the Nexus Tesedit page. You may use this updated guide to clean your masters. It contains the same automated cleaning procedure as Gopher explains in his video + repeating once for Dawnguard.esm + some selective manual cleaning. The method above can be used to clean mods. LOOT should tell you which plugin you should clean. You may also do a check errors. Create a wryebash patch including leveled lists. Create a merged patch with Tesedit excluding leveled lists How things work in Tes5edit : load order / conflict looser - winner / Forwarding / adding as a master. More specifically, you may create a manual patch between two or more mods. Don't uninstall mods at mid-game, there are no clean save in Skyrim but using save script cleaner can help removing orphan scripts. New SkyrimTools, (corrupt saves topic).Good luck. Finxxur
Thank you for all the stuff :D I wanted to make a new partition to backup important data, since the last backup was from 2011, but somehow the program messed up (maybe it was too old) and now Windows won't boot anymore so I guess I'll be busy with that for a while. So much bad luck shouldn't be allowed.
