The Towers

simular to the sierra madre but a luxury apartment building where the machines have been programmed to protect and maintain the facility, and are still doing it, raiders come and if not turned into goo on sight, wind up joining the tower's Robo-brain security force. oh and theres a store house of food, made by the tower's recycling plant made from wasteland inhabitants....

do we even want to know what happened to the people living in those luxuury apartments?

I'd like to see this. The mountain areas near Vegas are the kind of place one would find resort communities with something like that..perhaps placing it in a worldspace accessed through a tunnel in the mountains near Jacobstown? I see it as a snow-covered little skiing resort village with a large luxury hotel, perhaps a small casino in the lobby area. Give it a ski lodge connected to it and some shops and such around it.

A very fun touch would be some of those that arrived for the purpose of looting had stumbled across guest passes and so were put in the room of the guest who's pass they acquired but unable to leave because the system was set to not allow the guest to leave until they payed their bill (and with 200 plus years staying there it is one heck of a bill) with them having to give you what help they can in finding and reprogramming the mainframe to think they have free passes in perpetuity (yourself included of course), or alternately to disable/destroy the mainframe so that the place will go dark for good.

Reminds me of the Eagles song "Hotel California". Maybe it could be called Hotel New Vegas, Hotel Nevada, or Hotel Mojave.

I like your logic, since my inspiration was partailly taken from Dr.Who, and partially taken from an old horror movie I saw once, I like the idea of killing it with beurocracy...

Heh it does seem like a very Doc Who story doesn't it...but it outlines the kind of craziness and paranoia that exemplifies the Fallout pre-war USSA (and the real world tendancy of hiding money-gouging behind 'service' and 'convenience'.)

Well definitly not Hotel New Vegus as it's original name lol though Hotel Nevada isn't too bad. At least as the name of the mod or something the trapped people call it if it has some pompous name.
