I'm trying to download a couple of the Mods on SkyrimNexus, but cannot find where it's placing the downloaded file.

 

After I click on Manual Download I get the popup window, "please wait while we gather the file for you", Then I get the popup window where I select which server to download the file from, such as dallas, washinton, etc... Then after choosing the server my explorer browser gives me the little drop down security warning at the top of the browser and I select, "download file". The page goes white and the status bar at the bottom of my browser says "downloading 1 file blah blah" then nothing else happens after it completes.

 

I never get a pop up window allowing me to select where I want to save the file. So where did my brower safe the file to? I've searched my PC and cannot find it.

Try the "Download" folder in your documents folder. I think that's the default folder. You could also look at your settings and see where it saves files to.

By going to preferences and changing the "file download method" to 'separate page'... it now gives me a pop up window asking me where I want to download it.
