Maniac3020
I've been using mods for so long, I can't remember, in vanilla Oblivion, do NPCs have unlimited Magicka? Because they do in my game, and fighting a spellcaster, especially one with a healing spell, is really annoying, since they never run out of magicka. Edit: After fooling around, it seems that it's caused by OOO. I really like OOO, but this particular aspect is VERY annoying, and I want to remove it. (Turning on godmode, and hacking away at a goblin shaman with my sword for several minutes, while she keeps healing, really isn't my idea of fun.) Can anyone help me remove this functionality, while keeping all the other OOO features? Edited November 26, 2011 by Maniac3020
Balakirev
If you're sure this is a problem with Oscuro's, and not an interaction between Oscuro's and one or two other mods, then try posting a thread about it here. A lot of users frequent the official forums, but again: just make certain first that it's a feature in the mod. The manual should mention this. If it doesn't, you may be seeing an odd interaction. These aren't obvious, and they can easily fool you (or me).
Maniac3020
I'm pretty sure it's a direct result of OOO. I turned off all mods but OOO and the official DLC, and magic casters were still casting non-stop.
Balakirev
That's disturbing. But as I wrote, if you read the manual and it said nothing about this, then the logical place to post would be on the official boards, where there are a lot of Oscuro mavens. Can't help you, there. I've used Francesco's and Mart's for the longest time, but not Oscuro's. Great mod, though, from what I hear.
Maniac3020
Thanks for pointing me to the Bethesda Forums website. I found out there, that it isn't actually a case of infinite magicka. It turns out, OOO just increases the rate of regeneration, so, that a powerful spellcaster will have so much regeneration, they can cast continuously, thus creating the illusion of infinite magicka. Yeah, I saw your post, and the responses. That's a whopping increase, too! Should be able to reset that, though, if it's in an INI file. While on the subject, are you aware of Supreme Magicka? Because it comes with an INI file that lets you change a lot of magic-related settings, separately for the PC and for enemies. So you can change the number of summons that can be done at the same time at a given plateau (expert, master, etc) for yourself and your foes, whether the magicka cost of a summons happens once upon casting with a fixed length to the spell or at a steady rate while the summons lasts, etc. Very nice.
