I am in the process of making a mod that will make a lot of npc's from oblivion look much more beautiful, using:

 

Ren's hairs

Comit's argonian headsets

Nequam's Elaboate Eyes

Babehair

Corwyn wavy hair

TNR all races (and the tamriel travellers)

 

I am going to give all of the npc's new hairdos and new eye colors, based off of their class (eyes have nothing to do with class :P), who they are, and what they look like.

 

Expect it to be done in a few days :blink:

 

Just because i hate vanilla oblivion's hairdos, and i have seen a lot of ppl looking for something like this.

Figured i'd take the initiative lol.

 

I will also make a SI version when TNR SI comes out :)

 

 

EDIT: Okay! Just finished all the Argonians. Starting on the Bretons. This isnt as hard as i thought it would be.

looking forward to this - especially if you keep it within the boundaries of the lore - in example, not giving the npcs bright pink hair etc.

 

If you keep it tasteful and just provide variety to the mix (rather than giving everyone the new hair, you give some the new hair for instance) it will be great :)

i wont give every npc the new hair, but a lot of them will have the new hair, unless it breaks their character. like you wont see a beggar argonian (i hope) with an extremely decorated headset or something like that. i figure most mages are tight asses so i am giving more of them ponytails and buns and stuff. stuff like that for everybody :)

i also couldnt give people bright pink hair lol, that would just ruin the immersion experience... well, except bright pink ponytails on shady sam... maybe... lol

i am leaving all npc's with their basic hair color, unless everybody wants something different, like nords with more reddish hair, or something along those lines for each race. that i could definitely do.

oh, would you please test the argonians? i just finished them last night. i will upload the mod right now :) tell me if you find anything that is out of place, and maybe take some quick screenies for me? (remember its just the argonians) my comp wont let me take screenies :(

 

EDIT: how do i upload a file to the site? i just put the description up and everything, but now i cant figure out how to upload the file...

Well, it looks like i have to start over.

 

it seems that TNR and Beautiful NPCs conflict causing nobody to have any hair.

 

I am going to have to use TNR as a base, and it will be included in my mod, all credit for redoing the faces of every NPC goes to the person that made TNR, the hairstyles credits go to Ren, Comit, and the person that made Babehair. credits for the eyes goes to Nequam. i am just adding hairdos and eye colors.

I tested changing hair on a npc as well, with both beautiful people and TNR enabled. Combined them, then did the changes. Now I load in this order for it to work with my savegames:

 

beautiful people (ren+soya version)

TNR

myminimod

 

Seems to work - but I'm new to modding this game so there might be better ways to do it :)

im just using TNR as a base for my mod. mostly because i like how TNR makes everybody look. and it will have less conflicts if i do it this way :)

 

oh also, i am not going to edit every race. the khajit dont have many new hairstyles, or much of anything so i will not be doing them, and most hairdos look horrible on the orcs, so i will not do them either.

 

THOUGH, everybody will get new eye colors :) because there arent really many to choose from in vanilla, so it adds some variety to the eyes.

WELL the CS is pissing me off, because no matter which way i load it, the POS wont load anything from anybody.

if someone else can figure out how to get the stuff to work, i will finish up what i started, but until then, i am back to just playing. this is the third time i have edited an entire race, and none of th eyes or hairs load.

 

i even tried loading it like you said zombiebobie, but it still wont work for me :(

i guess i am just doomed to fail at this project.

the one thing that sounds easy enough for me to do, and i cant even do it :(

oh well.

I finally got it to work, after an idea smacked me in the face.

I just merged all the files together, so now they will all come as one.

 

 

Now, I will finish this mod.

great to see that things are working for you- just checked the site to download the files for testing and screenshots- but there are none there at the moment- I do agree with the comment that the argonians look a bit funny- but then they were not great lookers anyway....
