Multiple Companions

So I was thinking that it won't be long after the construction kit debut that someone will find a way to allow multiple companions at once. That much is obvious.

 

To what I was thinking is that the next step is to create a much larger, player purchasable building in the world to act as they player's very own companion themed mead-hall/longhouse/barracks etc, and write appropriate scripts for said companions to go there & hang out, etc. Sort of like the "Companions" guild in the game, but run by the player.

 

Thus, you could recruit the two dozens mages, archers, assasins & healers that will also no doubt come out with the construction kit and not have to try stuffing them all into Breezehome. Then you could go and pick the two or three you might needs for that quest, drop them off when done, then grab different ones for the next quest - and be able to do so in an easy to access, lore-friendly environment.

This idea is the primary reason I'm anxiously awaiting the CK. I've already been planning character builds for my future guild-mates. ;)

 

A longhouse for everybody to chill out at would be pretty awesome.

So larger buildings for more companions to wait... but you still can only bring two companions with you at most ala dragon age? and maybe for every territory another house... where they travel too, when you go from one territory to the next, on their own...

like this you can implement once a mead hall ala companions, a small slightly ruined temple with walls, a clearing with tents, a small farm with stables and cages, caves underneath an old tree, a magetower, a small 'village' up in the (large) trees, a tavern or villa...

Of course you have retainers guarding the places too

i totally support this.

 

in FNV i the mod for it and an gang of 6. played at the highest difficulty rate and had some extra hard foes mod. so it wasnt to unbalanced. i rally enjoyed individualizing my gang. a few tankers upfront in heavy armor, some melee experts and a sniper in the back... etc.

 

the idea of the clan/meadhouse is nice. maybe with a option to start a feast (party) after a successful mission. simply all your companions gather at the clanhouse and start drinking...

 

one thing i really love to see, and i almost started a independent request.

isnt it annoying that your companion follows you on foot? you should have the option to buy extra horses for your companions and then when you mount they mount up as well.

if you dismount the do the same...

 

imagine roaming skyrim with your gang on horseback :)

 

and in my wildest skyrim dreams "mount and blade" style combat in skyrim...

meaning fight with your band on horseback against another large band on horseback and foot...

This is just what I've been looking for but I have another kind of idea, I was thinking of maybe having like a cave or abandoned fort or some such location as an inhabitable base for say the players own bandit clan or vampire coven/werewolf pack and having maybe a cell area where you can imprison unfortunate souls that cross your path, I know its a far off idea but I would love to see something remotely close to this, also the idea of having certain npc's through out the holds that you would be able to recruit/turn like as a backstory maybe criminal's that crave power or beggars with a dark side to them, that kind of thing. also slaves and thralls as well as entertainers (dancer's, jester's that kind of thing) and an arena where you can test your recruits or feed your 'pets' with prisoner's Edited by SamuelCreelman
